Is there a difference between the lower-quality Chinese matcha and the higher-quality Japanese product? Most of the stuff online that is cheaper is produced from the lower leaves of the plant, but the top leaves are the ones which supposedly are the highest quality and taste the best. I work at a coffee shop on a campus of like 20k. Let me go on the record that I've never seen anyone swole or with any knowledge of fitness ordering these fucking things. I hate the fucking powder, get's stuck on the spindles when you steam and clings to the steaming mugs sides. I fucking hate matcha drinkers, the biggest bunch of fags. Matcha is grown in the sun and sencha is grown in the shade I believe. Matcha has more of a smooth, slightly sweet taste and sencha is a little more bitter and tastes a little darker. Matcha probably has more health benefits considering its ground powder rather than steeped leaves so you're consuming the whole thing
