On average, how many hours do you sleep per night? Do you make gainz?
8
yes
8-10, prob 9 on average.
My housemate/gym buddy only sleeps like 4-6 hours and some how still makes gains, so its possible.
I eat really well. I exercise daily.
I sleep 3-4 hours nightly and it's hell. I toss and turn for hours before I can sleep.
I don't even use medication for things like fever or headaches. Drug-free as someone can be. Seriously considering sleeping supplements for the first time though. I cannot shut my brain off.

>Chamomile
Already tried that and selenium and a bunch of other natural things. Best believe I'll be exhaustive with my options before committing to some pill. Time to look up valerian root, thanks.

Still on newbie gains been sleeping anywhere from 6-10 hours depending on if I have classes the next day.
Soon as I hit the pillow it's lights out or I lie there scared for the choices I have made. So it's a coin toss

>workout day, sleep early
>wake up feeling like tired piss
>workout day, stay up till 2 in the morning
>wake up feeling awesome, still feeling great late that evening
>woke up at same times
What the hell even, it can't be better for you to workout and only get 5 hours of sleep as opposed to 8-10 right?

You could be waking up in the middle of your REM cycle and that's gonna fuck you up. I was sleeping for 8 hours for a long time because I believed that was standard. Always felt like shit, never felt rested. Started sleeping for 6 and have felt immensely better ever since, even with heavy lifting. Some CEO's even report only sleeping for 3-4 hours a night. It varies from person to person, 5 hours could just be what your body needs. Personally I think 8-10 is too much and even a waste of time.

This so much. I hate how everyone seems to think Hey, I feel great, but something in my life isnt normal.I should fix that so its "normal" Normal doesnt feel great, normal isnt /fit/ normal, in all likelihood isnt healthy. Normal is being overweight, if not outright fat and on at least a few pills or self medication to make it through the day.
