I'm curious, how much water do you drink?
I've taken advice from many different people and I'm still not sure how much I'm supposed to drink. currently drinking 2L (67,6 oz) on days that I lift and around 1,5L (50,7 oz) on resting days

If only counting water, about 80 oz a day, 100 on lifting days. If total, including solids and other beverages about 5L a day.

When I was fighting the weight cuts would basically mean I was doing 1-2 gallons a day to get my mind off food. I still do at least 1 a day. My mouth feels like the desert if I forget to drink anything for like an hour. My wife, I can barely push to do half a gallon a day.

I just keep an eye on my urine color. If it's clear, I'm good. If it's dark yellow, I drink more. If it's tea colored, I cry until the stone passes.

I do have a water routine before a race. You want to be hydrated, but not have to find a pisser on the course. Basically I drink until my urine is clear the day before, then drink nothing for 10 hours before I'm set to wake up. In the morning I take a leak, and have 24 oz of water about 3 hours before the race. 30 minutes before the race, I take a leak, and drink about 5 oz more, usually as a Gatorade.
