192cm (6'3) at 84 kg here, ive been in a long long cut since i was around 105 kg.

i wana reach 80 kg , i'm still at 22% bodyfat , under 80 would be to skeleton, and i'll propably still have some tummy fat, so i plan to leanbulk up to 85 then go down again.

for my stats, is it a good idea to lean pulk for 5 kilos to put on some muscles, or should i just bulk for 2 kilo then cut and bulk and cut?

i have no idea at what speed the weight will increase when i'll be leanbulking, i just plan to eat 200 more calories than maintenance.

It's harder than I thought it would be. I've been doing a 800 Kcal deficit/day for a week now, and I have never in my life thought so much about food/what I'm going to eat later on.

I'm going to do a test where I do cardio on an empty stomach, so I can eat till I'm truly full and hope that it does not increase my apetite.

I'm also cutting carbs as much as possible.

Do you do net carbs? When I was cutting on 70g of carbs a day, 40-50 of that was fiber.

Anecdotally, I was never really hungry. Eating starchy/junk carbs always did make me really hungry though, so I avoided those.

Not really a cut, just a recovering fatty. Started weighing my bodyfat % after I started lifting weights, going pretty well so far!

I do. I'm at a 500 deficit but I try to shoot for 600. I do 2 days of just pure cardio and I still do back, chest and legs except I only do the major workouts and spend more time doing cardio. Would the fluctuation weight due to lifting or from increased fluid intake? I just dont get it senpai, it's a little discouraging to work so hard and not see it translated on the scale

fluctuations are normal. Use something like the MyFitnessPal app to track and chart your changes. Weigh yourself at the same time every day. I prefer to do it in the morning after I take a shit, naked before hopping in the shower.

Some people just weigh in once a week to minimize the discouragement of daily weight fluctuation. Before tracking apps, that's what I did.

Oh I use MFP too. Tracking calories get a bit tedious due to homecooked meals and the foods made are not listed in there but it's a fun app. I also weigh myself at the same time.. Maybe I just need to not sweat it out and continue what I've been doing

I've been cutting for ~2 weeks. Never really counted calories before, but I'm 5'8 and 210 pounds so I figured I should drop the fat. Been lifting for about 8 months, so I expected that I was eating quite a bit.

I ate regular amounts and for the first few days, pretty much what I've been doing for 6 months, to get a control and see where I can cut.

WHAT THE SHIT. I'm consistently eating like 1000-1500 calories a day. I've changed nothing. I'm not hungry. Why the FUCK am I still a fatty? I checked my calorie maintenance multiple times, and I've been extremely thorough with how I record.

Yeah. don't et hung up on the small fluctuations. If you see a terrible trend one way or another, then you are miscounting calories (Usually hidden fats like from cooking oils) or you are overestimating the calories you are burning. Make adjustments to bring the average weight loss in line.

Daily fluctuation for me can be about 2 lbs. I'll feel like I had an awesome day the day before. Ate under, had a good workout, etc. But still gained 2 lbs despite an hour or 2 of cardio and eating well under maintenance. It happens. Also, if like most guys on here starting out, you've started on creatine, remember that it forces water into the muscles. Water retention can account for quite a bit of weight. It'll all average out in the long run as long as you stick to a program, but it can be confusing at first.

Don't be intimidated. It's one of the most well researched supplements in use today. You can take it or leave it based on your goals. If you are looking for increased athletic performance or muscle growth, it has a place in your plan. If you are looking for skeleton mode, leave it out. It's not going to bulk you up or anything, it just aids recovery after a workout like you wouldn't believe.

It depends on how you're feeling, and how much your lifts are suffering from the deficit. You don't want to get too weak, but some loss is inevitable. I'd ride it out at the current deficit, which should actually be a higher deficit ratio for your body weight. 500:1900 being a greater percentage than 500:2400

Just make sure you're staying on top of the changes to your TDEE that occurs as your BMR decreases.

The effect on my workout can be variable. Some days I feel like God and crush anything I'm up against. Other days I feel like I'm dying and struggle thoroughly with nothing but body weight exercises. I prep my meals for the week so I'm eating literally the same diet daily and get roughly the same amount of sleep every night so this is perpelxing to me.

I probably hadn't lifted in about 4 years prior to this so my muscle mass continues to increase during this cut, reads on the scale and I can tell from increased performance.

Those off days probably happen once every two weeks and they are the hardest part about this process.

I had the same problem. What helped me was to add more food in the middle of the week.
Example: Say you have a cheat day where you have 600 grams of carbs 180 grams of protein 90 grams of fat. That is a sign your body is craving carbs. If your usual macros are 150g of carbs 160g of protein and 50 g of fat, have 2 days where your carbs are 300g of carbs instead. Add in some of your favorite foods during those days. This will make you stick to your diet and stop you from that hell of binge eating. You will gradually lower the carbs on those days that you have 300g of carbs until you find a nice equilibrium in your diet. Good luck anon! and be easy on yourself, your only human
