Theoretically nano-technology would be the Holy grail of medical science. You're too fat and these tiny machines would destroy excess fat cells, clear arteries of blockage and cause wear and tear to muscles in order for them to grow. Depending on the sophistication of these nano machines they cold also theoretically be used to give you impressive endurance by keeping your blood oxygenated.
Diseases would no longer kill because any virus or bacterium could be destroyed by nanobots as well as cancer cells could be killed too.

Yeah I missed that, there are no "fat" insulin receptors, insulin has it's job that sends glucose to muscles, fat, and liver to use the glucose as fuel.
No, if we really want to cure obesity it has to be the source, aka their fat mouth.
When you think about it, obese people are working on the same level of our caveman ancestors. For them fatty foods wasn't always available so they ate in excess for leaner times.
Now a days it's everywhere, so these fatties with their cro-magnon thoughts still operate on that level.
And since they can't operate in a modern world we should poke at their ventromedical nucleus in their hypothalamus until we can get it to permanently tell your body that it is full, which is it's job by default we just need it constantly on.

You know whats funny, America has subsidized corn for decades, and as we know subsidies create a huge surplus in production.
America used to ship this surplus corn to poor countries and give it to them for free, until other corn-producing countries like Canada and all of Europe threw a huge hissy fit about all their lost sales (due to America unloading the free food) and so the WTO forced America to stop feeding the poor Africans.
Now the US Government pays farmers and tells them to just not grow the excess corn they're being paid to grow.
