"motivation" is a flowery term that has no real application in the world of fitness and good health.
a person may have a sudden desire to improve when triggered by a significant event like new years or rejection. but this sudden intrinsic drive last anywhere between 2-4 weeks. then you're back to normal.
what you need is a goal that keeps you going even when you no longer "want" to. it keeps you going when times get tougher and tougher.
we can't save you from yourself by posting some profound quote from some old fuck. you need to make all the necessary changes to become the best version of yourself BY YOURSELF.

Today I went out with my brother an nephew.
People I'd never even seen in my life fucking smiled at me.
The waitress at the restaurant and some random girl at another table, I caught them looking at me.
For the first time, I felt admirable. Like I was going to make it one day. Fucking go lift.
I'm going to start lifting again, only thing that made my life less shit, but I got so tired of it. Lesson learned from stopping? I miss being that lonely built fucker who got good grades. I have close to no friends, but hell I'm going to make it in life.
