Who /squat more than deadlift/ here? I had a bad sciatic nerve

Who /squat more than deadlift/ here?

I had a bad sciatic nerve for a few months that put my deadlift at a standstill, when I started again I had to begin from baby weight to make sure it didn't happen again. it's still catching up.

Current 5rms:
squat 167x5 kg
dl 157x5 kg

I just don't like deadlifting, and i don't wanna tear a bicep.
I squat 2 times a week, and i don't want to DL before i squat and im too tired to DL after i squat. So i usually just do 5x1 lightweight once a week.

I know what you mean. deadlifting doesn't feel as good as squatting. Are you tall? I'm 6'2 and naturally sort of lanky, I think that may be causing my deadlift dislike.

I also deadlift after 1x5 heavy squats so that may be why. I found that if I put it anywhere else it's hard to recover in time for the next workout session.

I fell for rippetoes don't do volume deads and fucked up my pulls so kinda the same.

However now that i'm doing 4x4 paused DL it's advancing at crazy rate.

I'm average man height, but with t-rex arms; so my deadlift is my weakest, but my presses are good.

How do you manage to recover from that? I've tried doing 3x5 deadlifts but my back was so sore that I couldn't do squats even three days later

I'm just glad that even though I have long limbs I'm still a decent presser, being good at deadlift is a given though

Not him, but I'm 6'2 as well. I have really long legs and arms on a Manlet torso so I'm pretty much built to deadlift because I need like no rom.

Bench and squat are abysmal though because of those crazy lever arms.

Well I do a 4 day texas method from PPST3

So routine is like this
Mon Upper body wont mention exercises not relevant to thread.
Tue Bsquat 5x5 115 kg (only change this if stall on friday)
DL 1x 5 new pr setting this every week
Chins 3x12 Bodyweight (thinking of buying belt)
Wed Rest day
Thu Pr for upper body
Friday Bsquat 1x 5 PR set every week
Paused DL 4x4 at 110kgs (will increase if my DL starts stalling)
Back Extenstions 3x8 holding 10kgs
Because i'm pretty much setting PRs every week, everything is really fucking fragile recovery has to be optimal (Eat enough protein, calories, sleep and don't fuck about adding new exercises just for fun)
I learned the hard way to optimise recovery on this program since I stayed up one of the days and only got 4 hrs of sleep this resulted in me having a really bad lethargic flu for 2 weeks.

So fucking jelly of your Diddy i'm a 5'7 manlet always struggled with it on the bright side my bench and squat are better at 106 x5 bench and 155 x 5 squat. But your diddy is like 43 kgs more than mine.

I fucking hate squats despite squatting just a hair under 6pl8, it feels like absolute aids.

They've been kinder to me lately because I've been going light, but when it gets heavy my form breaks down tons and it feels completely retarded, so jelly of people with short femurs who can maintain their form even during a max

As in I couldn't do 5 reps of 55kg ohp when I was able to do 3x5 58.7kg, and only barely squeezed out 5 reps of 150kg last workout, when I managed 6 with less effort before that. Same with my Bench press.
