I don't know how extensive Rip's warm up is, but maybe add some LISS beforehand? I usually do 5-6 minutes on a recumbent bike and stand with my knees in front of my space heater for 90 seconds or so, then I put my knee sleeves on.

Yesterday I did 3x8 for the bench with basically enough weight that I wasn't leaving anything in the tank. I then used the slingshot at the same weight and only managed to get 12 reps when I was going at a fair controlled speed utilising little momentum. Would this indicate a lack of Tri strength, or just me being fatigued? I felt fine after a short rest.

If it matters, if I fail the bench it's always off my chest by a few inches, probably where tris begin to take over. Strong shoulders weak tris? My ohp has always been quite close to my bench too, but that might not be relevant.
