>>
>>36577036
Do you really piss those things off your body? how do they even fit throught the uretra?
>>
>>36577068
It's extremely painful
>>
>>36577068
that would be extremely painful
>>
>>36577036
Constantly.

Is there an age where kidney stones start becoming more common or can they strike anyone at anytime?
>>
>>36577081
For you.
>>
>>36577068
Sometimes if it's really big, it'll just get surgically removed.
>>
>>36577036

OP, I had two kidney stones and following that a kidney infection. This shit stole 4 months of of life. Drink water guys, just in case.
>>
Used to drink soda like it was water. I then got a kidney stone at 16 and another at 19. Been drinking water almost exclusively ever since the second one.

Never again. Not worth it.
>>
>>36577068
you're a big urethra
>>
>>36577036
>tfw I got my shit together but spent a good 5 years drinking soda instead of water so now I constantly drink lemonade in paranoia of passing a stone
How do you even know if you have stones before they start to pass?
>>
>>36577307
i believe your back starts to hurt a shit ton
>>
I drink a gallon a day and still worry that's not enough
>>
If you are worried about stones then supplement magnesium and boron.they've been shown to reduce calcification
>>
>>36577307
>before they start to pass
You don't. You know you have them when they start traveling through the urinary tract.

>>36577068

They're not as big as you think. Passing them out of your dick is actually the easy part. The most painful part by far is their journey from your kidney to the bladder via the ureter.
>>
>>36577081
You have a big urethra.
>>
>>36577076
You're a big guy
>>
>>36577493
This right here is the truth, once mine was in my bladder it was smooth sailing.
>>36577082
I was 25 when I got my first one.
>>36577202
Good on ya, bud.
>>36577307
You won't know until they start passing unless you've gotten a CT scan or for whatever reason an ultrasound of your kidneys. For me it was sudden onset of abdominal pain, and the feeling that I absolutely needed to shit, but couldn't (and I couldn't, until I was on some painkillers). I hurled twice within the first two days, and dry-heaved once, that's how much abdominal pain I was in. Other posts aren't wrong about your back hurting, though, all of your muscles around there just tense.
>>
>eat nothing but 2k calories of trail mix one day
>around a week later pass a smooth but annoying kidney stone
Apparently almonds have a lot of whatever it is that can cause them. Who knew. Not really an experience I'd like to repeat again.
>>
>>36577036
I drink way too much water than a human being should. Like i'd down around 2 litres durring my workout and around 1,5 after my morning run. Then throughout the day i'd drink between 6-7 litres, sometimes more as i usually down 2-3 glasses whenever i feel thirsty and atleast 3 glasses with every meal. I usually piss every 30-40 minutes in quantities far exeeding what a normal bladder should hold. Even my doctor said i have a problem, but atleast i'd probably never have to deal with kidney stones.

Cut that shit out nigga. Drinking acidic shit all the time is the worst thing you can do to your body. Start drinking water and milk and eating more alkaline shit.

How long does it typically take to form a kidney stone and then how long to pass it after a triggering event? How long do they take to pass once they go on the move?

>>36577503
For You
>>
I drink 2-3 liters of water a day. I'm pissing every 25-30 minutes, but I'm addicted to that sound and feeling of water sloshing around inside me.
>>
>>36578729
You ever tap your tummy like a drum?
>>
>>36578778

Sometimes. It's a strange feeling to get such an increase in weight for a spoopy skeleton like me. But It's all gone in 24 hours due to pissing or sweat.

Sometimes if I eat and then drink water (usually 1.5 liters, I end up vomiting water or getting really thick foaming drool.
>>
Does sparkling water count towards my gallon a day?

On very rare occasions it will be extremely painful when I start peeing. I have to clench my dick tip in fingers and squeeze as hard as I can because it helps relieve the pain. Are these kidney stones?

Just read wikipedia bro

"Dietary measures[edit]
Specific therapy should be tailored to the type of stones involved. Diet can have a profound influence on the development of kidney stones. Preventive strategies include some combination of dietary modifications and medications with the goal of reducing the excretory load of calculogenic compounds on the kidneys.[23][66][67] Current dietary recommendations to minimize the formation of kidney stones include:[68]

Increasing total fluid intake to more than two liters per day of urine output.
Increasing citric acid intake; lemon/lime juice is the richest natural source.[69]
Moderate calcium intake
Limiting sodium intake
Avoidance of large doses of supplemental vitamin C
Limiting animal protein intake to no more than two meals daily (an association between animal protein consumption and recurrence of kidney stones has been shown in men[70]).
Limiting consumption of cola soft drinks,[64] which contain phosphoric acid, to less than one liter of soft drink per week.[71]"

Hey dude not to be a "Debbie Downer" or "Negative Nancy", but can y'all niggas please stop posting for your homeboy? Sure enough, sure enough most definitely my dog.
>>
>>36578612

Actually taking on lemon/lime juice and other forms of citrate prevent kidney stones.
>>
>>36577394
that's plenty

Hello, 9gag
>>
>>36577493
This. I've had a handful of stones in my life due to medication buildup in my kidneys and each time I thought it was my Crohn's disease flaring up, but it was the stones were too big to fit through the ureter.

Those 4 months were so fucking miserable

I never had a kidney stone, if you don't drink water you get them? I typically have about 4 to 5 litres a day. Am I safe?
