Funny enough, those donations don't help much. Most of it goes towards the non profit and marketing, while a small portion goes to the campaign you donated to (ie rice for kids).
On top of that, it makes the people who try to farm there undercut by hand outs which causes them to lose their business. That community then becomes reliant on the hand outs and they don't learn to do shit themselves.
If you're going to donate to an organization, make it one that helps with installing infrastructure and teaching them shit.

African countries should be allowed to collapse, tbqh. Foreign aid does absolutely nothing to solve the problems of overpopulation and corruption that really holds those countries back. There's also the matter of the arbitrarily drawn borders. If they were allowed to collapse, those borders would reform into more ethnically homogenous and therefore more stable countries.
That's also part of why leftism is retarded - simultaneously claiming multiculturalism and diversity makes everything better while also claiming african countries are fucked because of ethnic instabilities because of how europeans drew borders.
