Two questions:
1. What is objectively the best vegetable in existence?
And 2. HOW do you go about preparing said brussels sprouts?
Probably broccoli
Idk just look up recipes
Season and bake them
I steam them for 10 minutes. About the only thing I use my rice cooker for. I mostly steam all my vegetables and eat them with my meat.
Microwave and then put on butter

1- Spinach, kale and brocoli. They're all very good for you and debating which one is the ''best'' is autistic. For cancer-fighting abilities, raw garlic wins hands down
2- Steam em

Rice cookers with attached steamers is fucking luxury, don't get me started on the ones with a rice porridge setting
One day I will be less broke and get one
broccoli
for Brussel sprouts I steam them, sometimes butter and salt on top
>>36536335
brocco is #1 best
brussel sprouts I cut in half, or quarters, and just fry them up on a pan, add salt, a bit of olive oil.
Navy beans.
Awesome little bundles of protein and fiber and tasty goodness.
I put them in the food processor until they are about the size of rice and then make fried "rice" out of it. Add egg and chicken.
Cut them in half.
Throw them in a ziplock bag with a few teaspoons of olive oil.
Shake.
Throw in 1/2tsp of salt.
Shake.
Throw in whatever other seasonings you want (garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, black pepper, onion powder etc are all good)
Shake.
Place them face down on a baking sheet and bake at 350 until they are crisp on the outside and pierce easily with a fork
Boom
Fucking delicious

>beans.
>a vegetable
you have to go back
>>36536456
Anything that comes from a plant that you can eat is a vegetable. Common usage excludes fruits but nobody thi ks beans are fruit, the song notwithstanding.
>>36536447
I should add, this is time consuming and really only good for large batches/meal prep
Green beans. If you eat them, you have self-respect
1 green bean = 1 self-respect

beans are legumes not fruits or vegetables, goddamn it Pablo
Not really the best way to look at things, OP

2. brussel sprouts are pretty good baked, but I have no patience so I usually steam em.

Fuck, the people posting are retarded.
Half them
Heat a pan with fat. Butter, oil, lard, bacon fat whatever you prefer
Toss/cook with garlic, salt, pepper
Cook over med to med high heat
Turn in 5-7 min, then remove from heat in another 5-7 or stir frequently for 15.
Eat
Other additions include soy sauce, fish sauce, lemon juice, mustard, coriander or paprika.
Do not boil, steaming sucks a little less.
>>36536582
legume in the english/scientific sense, not the french sense
>>36536335
STEAM.
Best sprouts. Every time.

You're making a category error. Legume is a category of vegetable, not category distinct from vegetables.

>wrap in aluminum foil
>put in preheated 425F oven for 1 hour to 1:25 hour depending on size
>remove and eat when cooled
>Bonus, dipping sauce like sriracha aloli or garlic butter
>better than gf
