>tf when pork is 4€ per kilo
>tf when chickenbreast is 6€ per kilo
How is this even possible, raising chickens is way cheaper than raising pigs.
Also, what are some cheap sources of protein?
How is the value of protein shakes in comparison to chicken breast?
Chickenbreast is the most expensive part of the bird. Look at darker meat for cheaper prices

Just did the maths, myprotein is about ~5% cheaper per gram of protein if you can't get cheap chicken. A kilo of chicken is 15 PLN, I got my whey for ~215 PLN, I think. Dunno where you live, but in Slavland cottage cheese is dirt cheap.
>>36515650
chicken quarterlegs are 50% cheaper protein then chickenbreasts.
1 leg(with skin) = 400 cals and 40 protein.
also eat the skin faggot.

I live in germany, land of the porkeaters.
Sadly I can't eat milk products if I don't want to look like pic related.

I always assumed that chicken legs wouldn't be viable in the fat to protein ratio.
Imma do some maths
>>36515650
It depends on which part of the pig you are eating.
Meat from the shoulder and spine has a lot of protein and not much fat.
>>36515693
>eat the skin
enjoy your shit skin desu
>>36515763
elaborate pls
>>36515776
he cant elaborate, that sentence was all he had to offer.
chicken skin is the same as fucking egg yolks, for some reason people throw them away.
yes they contain more calories, but guess what i eat 2 legs everyday and still eat below 1500 cals, without feeling hungry.

>he cant elaborate, that sentence was all he had to offer
thats what I thought.
Turkey is leaner and cheaper than chicken.
>>36515817
>cheaper
Where do you live? Here turkey is about 25% more expensive
>>36515654
You need to calculate how much the bone, skin and fats weight on, lets say. chicken thighs.
>>36515650
Just go buy whole chickens i bought 6 chickens at $4 per chick and the feed for 2 months was $20 i now have 18 chickens and the original chickens have been harvested and in the freezer i dont buy meat from stores anymore
>>36515693
The protein is right by the calories is wrong one chicken leg is 220
>>36515931
thats a chicken leg
not a chicken quarterleg.
unless you have a bad source, you need to weight the bones after eating and then subtract that from the total. then use the 100g measurements.
its very very hard to get accurate calorie measurements for quarterlegs, lots of sites contradict others. i found that 350-400 is the best "safe" zone.
>>36515920
I'm considering this.
how long does it take to pluck them/ get them ready to eat?
>>36515960
isn't the bone already included in the nutritional value?
>>36516033
some do some dont thats the problem.
thats why i compared the values to "chicken with skin" and found that some try to count bones and some dont.
>>36515960
so wait, if it says on the bag 500gram chickenlegs, I can't use that value tu calculate my macros but have to subtract the weight of the bones first?
>>36516050
*to
>>36516050
Nigga debone and cook and then weight it.
>>36515650
Achievable natty?
>>36516070
genetics
>>36516066
all that hassle
>>36516121
i already did it for you senpai.
a quarterleg is about 400 cals and 40g protein. i never weigh them anymore.
400 cals is the upper limit, no leg will be more then 400 cals
>Also, what are some cheap sources of protein?
canned sardine
>>36516902
oh, neat thanks
