I'm 24% at 196 lbs and I can do 15 pull ups max. When I cut back down to like 174 or lower I'll be back at 22 max again. Probably 25 max since I've gotten stronger.

have to work you way up to it. Get ridiculous bicep and overall arm power. I can do an "assisted" one are pull up. It's when you hold your wrist with the other hand for support. Learned it from the convict conditioning book.

All men should be able to do 8 pull ups clean. A lot of my friends who are in the gym 5 days a week can't even do 8 and it's weird because how muscular and fit they look.

climbing is not lifting though. At a gym, not everyone has special shoes or chalk for lifting but at a climbing wall, pretty much everyone uses climbing shoes and chalk. I worked at a stone yard and would go to a free outdoor climbing wall after work that was on my path while walking home. Majority of them were nerdy looking college kids though.

Im very strong, little body fat, and an encyclopedia of pull-ups. I also train my fingers by doing finger tip pull-ups and pushups. Also work on my one arm hangs, one arm pull-ups, and finger tip pull-ups. I wipe my sweat on my jeans at certain spots on the wall where I can rest or only need 1 hand.

Take my advice. Your wrists hurt because they are either weak, or just not strong enough to support a really strong back. Please try this out.

3)work on just hanging and work up to 1 arm hangs

I should also point out that frog stands and one arm hangs work the wrist differently then say a wrist roller. Pullups are also about the maximum control you have over your body, not just how many you can do.

Dont be a faggot. I weight 240lbs at 6 foot one. I am probably around 25 percent body fat, and i can do 20 pullups. It is just something you have to do to get good at.

What works for me is the pyramid method.
1, wait 10 seconds, then 2 and wait 10 seconds, and so on until you fail a set. Once you do remember where you stopped then do it again tomorrow with only 9 seconds between, and 8 the next day. When you get to 4 seconds you can go back to 10 and add an extra set then work back down again. It is great how fast this worked for me.
