What is /fit/'s opinion on this gym? I was thinking of joining up. It's a little more expensive than a normal gym but it does have a lot more to offer, I feel.

Will you use those extra things every week? If not, look for a bodybuilding/powerlifting gym in your area - no one there cares if you're a beginner and they're usually cheap as hell.

Sure a pool is nice but if you're going to use it twice a year, it's better to just pay to use a place with a pool when you want to.

I plan on using the pool 3+ times a week. They also have a climbing wall.. But I don't see me using THAT more than a few times a year.

I went for a while because my uncle paid for my membership.

The pool and basketball courts were nice, but I mostly just lifted.

Excactly. I joined a powerlifting gym and it's 25 bucks a month. No cardio stuff (there's a prowler and sled, but no room for them at the moment). I still go to Golds (20 bucks a month) for cardio and sometimes convenience. But after having plenty of chalk, squat racks, and deadlifting bars/jacks, it's hard to go back.

A single membership to any other gym is like 50 bucks, why don't you just save the trip and join one of them, or do your cardio by running/biking to the powerlifting gym??

Why would anybody do this? Seriously, aside from Planet Fitness who gets mad if you so much as breath too loud when working out, you can just join a gym that has weights and treadmills, dawg.
