From my experience, doing 1.5x pull exercises for every push exercise is extremely beneficial. The back has much more muscle than the chest and needs to be hit in different angles and with more volume. Plus it makes you look like a beast. As Bill Kazmier once said, "strong back, strong man."

Romaleos have a raised, solid heel and side support. Chucks are flat as fuck and let you push your feet slightly over the edge of the sole.

This changes the squat mechanics between the two. Which is better is somewhat individual - it tends to be dictated by proportions and squat style as much as anything (narrower stance, particularly if you're longer limbed, tends to benefit a lot from those changes. Wider stance less so).

They also tend to last longer than Chucks. I prefer using the flat shoes, but I've blown through a ton of them over the years as they wear down. The oly shoes I've got last far longer.

I use them on deads, shrugs, high pulls, and rows. I usually don't put them on until I want to lift heavy, but the control they offer is fucking amazing if you have lil bitch hands like I do.

That's a Yoke frame.

Generally you have to buy them from somewhere that sells strongman gear, but they're not that hard to make if you've got the tools. Utterly brutal exercise, albeit one that is really injury-prone if you go heavy on it.

I have never thought I was going to die more than the time I had a Conans Wheel attempt at 350 in competition. Had to put the bloody thing down before the minute was up because I'd lost feeling in one arm and the other was starting to twitch randomly.

Except for the time I had an attempt at 310, except all the weights were hanging off chain rather than stuck in place. That was interesting.

I started doing them when I could squeeze out about 7 or 8 (now can do 20+ easily.)
But really even grinding out 1-3 reps with 10 kg added will boost your unweighted max rapidly. Go try it and don't be afraid of failing.

Such a small adjustment but the difference is crazy. All the other shit never did anything for my shoulders, except giving me fucking pain.

It makes zero sense that putting more pressure on the anterior head would make your delts "pop" out more, unless you're talking from the front, in which case nobody cares because everyone's delts do that already.

Buying wrist wraps was one of the best things I've done, it makes both lowbar squatting and benchpresses so much easier on the wrists.

Rounding my upper back on deadlifts and using a slightly wider squat stance with feets pointed out more has also been good for my progression
