I'm a retard and I fucked up my back today doing Deadlifts. I know exactly what I did wrong. Luckily the weight wasn't a huge amount (it wasn't an ego lift I just tried to test myself when my form was imperfect).
Right now it's a bit uncomfortable but I don't think I did any serious damage. What should I do in the meantime to treat it and make sure my back rests up normally?
Obviously I'm going to stay away from deadlifts for awhile until I fix my form.

I mean it's not that bad. The Pain went away after an hour. But I'm still going to be way more careful when I come back to deadlifts later on (probably not for a week or two)

So, you dodged a bullet today and got pulled up short in the process. Good. Now you're paying attention.
Know what the most common mistakes that /fit/ seems to make?
o Trying to progress too quickly
o Ignoring flexibilty problems, and never including a program of stretching into their training
o Never spending any time doing remedial work in preparation for the main part of their lifting program
Squats and deadlifts can have awesome results. But they also put the highest demands on your entire body, and if it's not completely ready for it, something is going to break.
That's what you get for doing meme /fit/ exercises and not superior bodyweight &dumbbells
