I'm addicted to WoW again, I want to spin this to my advantage and start cutting... any tips?
>>
>>36378589
Get a excercise bike and connect a dynamo to the wheel, connect the wires to a relay that switches mains power to your pc, if your not pedaling it won't stay on.

OR JUST EAT AT A CALORIC DEFICIT AND NOT BE A LARDASS STUFFING YOUR FACE WHILE YOU RAID AND PRETENDING TO BE SPONSORED BY "MOUNT'N DOO"
>>
How about you play a video game that isnt a piece of shit?
or stop being a faggot and drop video games completely.
>>
>>36378589
there is literally no way to spin this to your advantage.
you're obviously not even ready for a cut seeing as you still play wow
if you were serious about lifting you would of given up playing vidya and it would not be an issue

>playing Wow
>cutting

pick one

The guy I know that lifts the heaviest plays vidya. A lot of the mentalities to excel at one transfer to the other I think.

I've been playing WoW on and off for 10 years.Currently playing right now.

I'm 24yrs old and make 65k/yr.

Don't blame the game on you being a fuck up.

I started lifting only this past year though.
>>
>>36378589

Listen here, WoW is a tool made to ensnare you, a lot of things in life are - hell, even this website is made with the intention of diverting your attention.

The drama, the politics, the daily grind. If you can do all of that here, in WoW, and in life - you better believe that the gym is no different.

That's how you spin it to your advantage. Recognize it for what it is and move on. There is nothing left for you in that game because it has taught you what you need to know.
>>
how the fuck do you get addicted to wow at the tailend of an expansion when nobody is even logging on anymore?

you need to consider the possibility that you're braindead
>>
>>36379033
>There is nothing left for you in that game because it has taught you what you need to know.

This is only half right, you have tools for the betterment of your life and you have tools to completely forget your life.

WoW is a tool to forget real life.
It's no different than tv or any other brand of media, and working out can easily become a tool to forget real life. It just happens to have a better response on your body.
>>
>>36379092
>This is only half right, you have tools for the betterment of your life and you have tools to completely forget your life.

I meant that as in it's there to waste your time.
Everything has a price and everything is competing for your time. It's the most valuable currency you have, and if you're lucky, plenty of it.

So are you going to pay Blizzard with your life? Or are you going to pay yourself?
>>
>>36379074
if you've just returned to the game, there's a LOT to do
>>
Anyone /runescape/ here?
>>
>>36378701
Don't connect it directly to the pc, connect it to a relay switch and power meter that needs to be over a certain level to keep the pc switched on, not a consistent number.

I still play wow, raid in progression guild etc, just dont be an autist who cant prioritize their lifting or diet or work before video games and you're fine think of it as a hobby not a fucking addiction. Have some willpower and do what you need to do before you do what you want to do.
>>
>>36380657
gr8 advice

Doesn't even take much willpower, simply tell yourself you will not touch the game until 'this set of conditions' are met daily, and put it near your PC

Other than that, bulk cook meals so you don't get lazy during your game time and order a pizza/drive-thru (I did this a lot, very bad).

Meh I play wow

Doesn't impact my lifting or diet, in fact sometimes it makes me forget to eat and before I know it it is 9pm and too late to eat so I end up with bigger deficit anyway.

The game is better as part of a routine. I fit in a few hours a few days per week after I've been to gym or done some applications or whatever errands I have to do. Just don't let it start cancelling other activities and you're golden.
>>
>>36378688
>he doesn't play vidya with his bros
>>
>>36378589
First off. If you're gonna play WoW. Play Nostalrius. Because it's free and you won't have to be a parasitic NEET.
Second.
Work out at least three times a week to compensate.
>>
WoW is great for cutting

When you play for 12 hours a day it's easy to forget to eat

Of all the beautiful enrapturing classics you're addicted to WOW

Chrono Trigger is literally free to emulate and you're playing WOW

Zone of Alienation is finally acceptably stable... And you're playing WOW

Wow
>>
>>36379446
It still does. They released runescape 3 with significantly improved graphics. Their policies are nothing to write home about though. Filled with annoying microtransactions now. It is not that I don't have any money, the reason is that I spent way too much time on it to just quit and let go. :(

Here's my excercise PC setup for WoW.
It became obsolete when I started going to the gym but yeah it was a nice way to get me started.

It's just a regular excercise bike to which I mounted a little tray for my keyboard and mouse. The monitor was raised using a pair of speaker that I don't use.

It worked pretty well. WoW is immersive enough that you don't really notice you're pedaling.
>>
>>36381680
that's pretty neat desu senpai
>>
>>36378589
How can you be addicted to such a shit game. Pvp is trash and ally dominated and pve has stagnated.

Literally no reason to play until the next ex pac.
>>
>>36381680
Innovate this bro.

Desk bike. Work out and be semi professional.

>>36381768

>>36381680

>>
>>36381776
But I don't want to innovate. I just built what I needed. Other people can do it too if they want to.

You remind of that time I made little plushies as a gift for a friend, and her father - a lawyer - said I should apply for a patent on the pattern and have it sold for profit. That was the first time I even met the guy. I almost said "dude, I'm just trying to get into your daughter's pants..."
>>
>>36378688

WoW used to hold my interest and unless I'd had food nearby I would just drink water.

MMOs are like lifting but lifting has a set amount of progress/day.

>kill x mobs
>accumulate xp
>lvlup

>do x lifts
>accumulate muscle damage
>muscle up

>>
>>36381973
during gaming binges, it takes all your time so you have little time to eat/prep food, so you tend to eat just enough to not pass out
>>
>>36382002
This.

Im almost 30 but since I never grew up I still spend my nights gaming and only sleeping 5ish hours a night
>>
>>36382002
I'd think it's more likely to lead into shoveling fast food and soft drinks.
>>
>>36382044
This, grabbing a bag of cheetos is easier and more time efficient than preparing a meal
>>
>>36382044
>>36382069
I mean if you're the type to go for fastfood during this mode, you really need to plan ahead and have fast healthy pick-me-ups like organic jerky/nuts, and take some time to bulk cook some rice/chicken for a few days

Me personally, I can get by with just protein shakes and coffee

As a casual player it's fun. There is still tons of content to catch up on, different classes to play, cool quest lines to go through that I skipped out on in my earlier days when I would just rush to end game. I make my own goals, I don't chase after being a hardcore raider/pvper which I can't keep up with anymore.

every time i get addictive to these types of games i try and force some sort of existential or nihilistic crisis. whats the point of getting that exp? whats the point of fighting that dude?, whats the point of farming that gold? you keep asking these questions with the only answer being to get to the enxt level, to buy that thing so you can farm more to get that item so you can fight more, ect. the whole thing starts to lose its importance, and when it does it loses its reward and thus its fun. its just gets boring. and if im bored playing that shit, i may as well be bored doing something that will improve my life.
