Fasting after a binge. Have you ever done it? Do you recommend doing it?

It is indeed psychologically easier to just forget the binge happened and to continue on. And it's definitely easier to just binge again. But if you have the willpower, then you haven't lost a week of progress.

When I ran Lyle McDonald's cycling ketogenic diet I would fast the day after the refeed day(s). The problem with fasting the day after a binge is that you're likely to break down and binge again.

Unless you're incorporating fasting into your dietary program as a cornerstone forgive yourself and move on.

Was cutting successfully for about 4-5 weeks. Intermittent fasting, fasted cardio, diet clean as hell, viturally no sugar(egg whites, spinach, almonds, oats, sweet potatoes, asparagus, chicken) Small cheat here and there every few days. One day, decide to buy quest bar and eat it as dessert after dinner( less than 1g sugar). As soon as I finished it somethings in my brain snapped. I got the most insane craving for sweets I've ever experience.

Was painfully bloated and gassy for several days. Never have I been so impulsive. I blame the quest bar. Fuck I'm weak.

I ate about 1200 calories over my limit today so I'll do a 24+ hour fast. Then during the week I'll do extra cardio and just followy cut strictly for a week.

When you binge it's best to make up for it (fast, extra cardio, lower calorie intake for a few days, etc) and forget about it.

Starting a second round of the Rapid Fat Loss diet. The first run went from 1/10 to 2/21 - dropped from 345 to 292. Bronchitis combined with two employees leaving led to 12+ hour days as a line-cook and a pizza chef. Completely fell off the program - had to eat to keep myself from falling asleep, which lead to more eating to stay awake.

The damage wasn't too terrible - these last three weeks have put me at 298ish.

usually depends on whats cheap but usually rotate meals with chicken, beef, pork, lamb, fish and eggs for protein.
Rice, pasta, oats for carbs
asparagus, mushrooms, broccoli or spinach in the way of veggies
not many fruits but I sometimes have a small banana
use a small bit of butter when cooking
All fresh non processed and I stay under my calories, weighing all my portions like an autist.

I have a bit of trouble drinking enough water during the day though

Unlikely, but you should try to eat some more variety. Especially real meat protein (since pizza tends to be high in carbs). Try prepackaged frozen meals. In the end, it all comes down to calories in, calories out for weight loss though.

And A little under a year.. I just ate the same shit day in and day out and was super anal about my diet.. Did a PPLPPL lifting heavy weights everyday and rarely did cardio.

Amen to this this.

I can always get back on my keto/intermittent fasting routine after a cheat, but the first couple of days are hard as fuck. Which is why I prefer not to cheat at all.

Sometimes it's a fuckup that'll last a couple of days, and it all starts with one little cheat.

For example, a couple of Saturday's ago I decided to "refeed" by eating some pizza with the family. My plan was to go back on track the next day. 12 hours into my fast I ended up buying a box of Little Debbie's brownies and devouring the whole thing. Shit is seriously my kryptonite. I could not stop myself. I managed to gain control the next day, but the cravings were a nightmare.
