If you were truly an intermediate, you would already know your strengths and weaknesses and would know which routine (rather, system) to go with.

That said, if you truly are not making linear progress (I'm of the belief you're just bored or want to be more advanced than you actually are) go with The Texas Method. Weekly progression is better than monthly.

Tbh now that I am more experienced I feel like a Westside style template is best for intermediates

What I mean is, rotating a main movement and building strength in it for a few blocks and then switching. Also incorporating strongman movements like tire flips, farmers walks, atlas stones, sled pushes and drags

This builds a broad general strength and musculature which is what I now feel like is most important for intermediates

Look up massthetics to learn about how they do Westside, that's how I would do it and then do some strongman stuff twice a week

Intermediate routines are designed for weekly progression. SS is daily (or every workout) and advanced (5/3/1) are designed for monthly progression.

Doing madcows or 5/3/1 too early inhibits gains.

Im at 1/2/3/3.5 now but I had to switch to madcow to get here.
I know a guy who got to a 4pl8 squat and 5 pl8 deadlift before he hopped on any intermediate programming.

Stats have nothing to do with it, all about progression.

The thing about 5/3/1 for novice lifters is that there isn't enough volume to cause enough muscle damage to initiate repair/recovery whatever you want to call it. It works for advanced lifters because the weight they are using is so heavy it fucks your shit up.

I've been on Bill Starr for about 10 weeks now. Gainz have been good this far and things have been progressing nicely. You do have to know how to tweak it to fit you a bit, but it is a good routine overall.

Also, too many people approach TM like it is a cut and dry template. It isn't. This is explained in PP and Justin Lascek broke down various tweaks very nicely in his ebooks, which, unfortunately, are way fucking over-priced.
