Pre-med student here. I'm trying to cut but my class schedule doesn't give me time to go to the gym. Is there a good alternative free body workout program? I didn't see anything about that in the sticky.

Stats if you need it:
5'8 1/2"
175 lbs
~19.5% BF
>>
>>36300677
Stop making excuses, you can find time for 3 one hour training sessions a week.
>>
>>36300677
Also I doubt you're below 20% if you've never lifted
>>
>>36300696
But all of my classes have labs and homework is a motherfucker after that. If I went to the gym, I would only be getting around 4 hours of sleep and that isn't good for either classes or gains.
>>
>>36300677
>Pre-med student here
How is that an excuse? I'm a 3.7 pre-med junior who has gained 70 lbs of muscle since he started college. I also volunteer and work part time.
>>
>>36300716
You're never gonna make it, there's always time between classes and on the weekend
>>
>>36300677
I'm sure you already know, but you don't need to workout in order to lose weight.

Be sure not to give yourself excuses to eat less, you fat sack of crap.
>>
>>36300677
you are WAY above 20bf if you're 175 at 5'8.5 (and just say 5'9, no one is going to challenge you on it)

You'll all call me DYEL but I'm content with the progress. Was 6'7" 165 lbs during my senior soccer season (first pic). I have a lot of frame to fill, so it most likely doesn't look like 70 lbs.

B-But the sticky said I can exercise to lose fat... I just want to start bulking after I reach 8-10% BF.
>>
>>36301047
Why would you bulk of you "don't have time" to work out?
>>
>>36301047
Body workouts barely burn calories.

If you're looking for significant caloric burns through exercise, you're looking for cardio (preferably anaerobic) and even then you need to create a decent deficit in your diet.

OP says he's 5'8" 175 lbs at 20% bf. That's 140 lbs of lean body mass. If he was at 10% bf, he'd be 5'8", 156 lbs which is almost at a solid ottermode.

You really think this undisciplined, excuse-maker is ottermode under all that fat?
>>
Sorry OP but I don't want to be rude and make a thread. I'm going to be homeless and living from my car how can I get /fit/ and sculpted if I can't cook or refrigerate anything? What's there to eat? 5'10 140lbs

also premed here, taking mcat in april. you're prob just bad at time management famalam
>>
>horizontal push/pull
push up progression
row progression

>vertical push/pull
dip progression
pull up progression

(if you're too weak too do these, just focus on horizontal moves for now and build up strength)

>lower body
squat progression
weighted ab work

save time by supersetting pairs of exercises (maybe not for abs/squats though)
do this routine twice a week minimum, ideally thrice per week
should take less than 30 minutes

google bodyweightfitness, convict conditioning, or whatever to find bodyweight progressions

keep in mind cutting is mostly diet, but working out will prevent the whole skinnyfat transformation

look up leangains for cutting, makes diet adherence easier

I never got this whole "busy" premed thing
Just pick some social science major for the easy A's and focus on the laughable courses you need to take for med school
I mean seriously, the hardest course you have to take is what, orgo II? You'd have to be brain dead to find that course challenging
(Side note, fuck recitation, like I need to sit through the same lecture twice)
>>
>>36300677
>Pre-med student here. I'm trying to cut but my class schedule doesn't give me time to go to the gym.
Bull-fucking-shit.

Average of 16 hours a week in class. This includes labs. The adage is that you should spend 2 hours studying/doing homework for every 1 hours of class. So 32 hours a week studying/doing homework. 8 hours a day spent sleeping. Let's assume it takes you 2 hours, for whatever reason, to get ready, go to classes, and come back from classes. 14 more hours a week.

That's a total of 108 hours a week out of an available 168 hours. Are you telling me you can't find time to work out in the remaining 60 hours a week?
>>
>>36304331
>>36304352
It's not that competitive. Unless you majored in something bullshit like psych or a social science and you have no extracurricular experiences, you'll be fine with a 3.7. Lots of top 25 med schools have median entrance GPA's around there.
>>
>>36304573
This. As long as you meet the GPA cut off you have a chance of getting into some medical schools. 3.7 is perfectly fine, especially if you dicked around your freshman year and got your act together and brought your GPA up. They see that you've grown and are just as likely to take you if you have a good MCAT score.

Not him, but im in medschool in sweden and i go from 8:15-17:15, go home 45 min, eat dinner until 19:00(gym is on other side of town) do homework, rewrite notes etc for 2-3 hours until 21-22. Spend time with GF, go to sleep, get up again at 7:00.
The only time i have for gym is the weekends or between classes if i happen to be in the building with the gym in it that day. Then ther's shopping for food, after school activities, spending time with friends and family etc
>>
>>36304573
If you have a halfway serious major a 3.7 will get you into most middle tier med schools and a good shit at the big schools (Harvard ucsf)
>>
Thinking of transferring once I'm done at community college to a school with a decent med program and doing pre med. Thinking of USC. How is it?
>>
>>36300677
premed here with 21 units

im on candytoes strength/hypertrophy

you're just a bitch if you can't find time
>>
>>36300716

>19 hours a day on college work

Poor time management. Really there's a problem with the course if it's genuinely giving you that much work, because you'll never be able to retain it.

If you can't make 3-4 hours a week in the college gym then you need to either question an administrator or change your studying style.
>>
>pre med
Literally kill yourself
>>
Wow OP i was gonna defend you because i thought you said med school, but premed? Fucking top kek get your shit together.
>>
>>36300677
I'm taking 21+ hours and have a practicum. I still go at least 3 times a week (try to go every day), and have time for my hobbies. Either you're making excuses, you lack management skills, or your professors are shit at planning.
>>
>>36305286

Honestly, if you're doing a high workload course then it's worth living on site so you can act like some kind of bookworm man-baby and not waste too much time on menial shit. Provided you don't get saddled with failures in your accommodation then you can ride the enthusiasm of your peers and share workload.
>>
>>36300677
You can cut your studying time significantly.

Trust me, breh, I know. Law school made sure I do.

Keep lifting and stop being a pussy.
>>
I'm so sick and tired of that bullshit excuse.

My day, 7 days a week.

>wake up at 3am
>drive 30 minutes to gym
>lift for an hour and a half
>drive another 30 minutes to work at 6am
>work til 6pm
>drive an hour to class
>class lasts til 11pm
>drive 30 minutes home
>sleep by 1am after eating dinner

I find time. You find time.

Major doesn't matter at all for med schools except whether it's a science major or not (even then only insofar as because it determines your BCPM gpa)
>>
>>36300677
Premed here also. You need to plan your weekly schedule better. Allot certain time for studying every day, and give yourself about an hour to work out at least three days a week. Write it down in a planner or on a calendar.
>>
>>36300677
Yeah buddy I'm a 3rd year premed student find a 24 hr gym and suck it up you weak willed pussy

Just Google bodyweightprogram, there's like thousands. Get a pair of 50s and kettlebell and your golden. I know a bunch of people will say "hurdur you will reach your natty limit", no you wont.
