Sometimes no sleep, sometimes lots. Depends on the hospital, some only have hospitalists admit and oversee the floor/unit, some staff just 1 for a 60 bed medical and 30 bed ICU, it's not unusual and it's not generally paid by the hour (inb4 locum)
