what app do you guys use to track your food intake? I want something that measures calories, but also my ratios.

Myfitnesspal does both.

Related to this, if I ever see someone at the gym with both a smartphone and a pen and paper, I cannot comprehend how they beat the rest of the sperm to the egg.

You have a multi-hundred dollar technological wonder of the current year, yet you use pen and paper like a pretentious twat.

This.

>>36257625
This is acceptable too.

I do this. I use my phone to listen to music, and I don't want to be taking it out of my pocket every set, dripping sweat on it, getting chalk all over it, and what not. I use a piece of paper to record my stats as it's easier to scribble on it, drop it on the floor while I do my set, and not worry about it.

Wew, sure feels good not to be retarded. Soon people would need a dedicated app to wipe their asses

Yeah dude, I'm having that same problem now. How the fuck did you beat the rest of the sperm to the egg?

Google Sheets or any other Excel type application. Paying for a "calorie counter" app is for fat people. I used to use MFP until they blocked half the shit for Premium users only.

A stone slab and chisel like an elder
>>
>>36257512
I use fatsecret to track my food, exercise, and weight stats. I've tried MFP and a few other apps and find that the food databases aren't as complete if your diet has any kind of variety. Also, the community there tends to be a little older (25+) so I fit in better.

lol you fell for the measuring food meme. Just eat according to your goal and you dont have to count.
>>
>>36257757
This is bait but I'm hungry
You're a fucking idiot. The invention of the modern smartphone is what has enabled us to get our hands on virtually every piece of knowledge that we have accumulated in the history of humanity within seconds anywhere on the globe. It's hard for us to comprehend a time where we couldn't just google anything we wanted, but we can literally answer almost any question we could ever possibly ask by tapping a piece of glass and metal a few times.
>>
>>36257512
I've been using an app on my phone called myfitnesspal that tracks ratios and all that.

Makes it easy when eating out too since you can search menu items and find them most of the time unless the restaurant is a hole in the wall.

Good bait.
>>
>>36257747
You have an excuse, but the VAST majority of people I see doing this drop their smartphone next to the notebook and are not using it to listen to music. Also my gym has banned chalk because they're run by hitler.
>>
>>36257895
Maybe they just like it better, m8, no need to get your titties twisted. You should ask them why they do it, they may have a good reason.
>>
>>36257612
>>36257840
So it has an area for macros? Cause I downloaded it and I only see a calorie counter.
>>
>>36258186
You scan the food's barcode, it records everything. If you scroll down on the page that shows your log for the day, at the bottom is a button that has a picture of a pie chart and says "nutrition". Pressing that brings up specifics and percentages.
>>
>>36257840
>search menu items and find them most of the time
Input by other users who are usually guessing or going off of hit or miss accurate data from the restaurant itself. The fact that some large number of users have "confirmed" it doesn't mean anything since people will just confirm without actually confirming.

What's it like to be 16 and arrogant? I only ask because you clearly don't understand what I was doing with that post. It wasn't bait, it was pointing out that you have a misinformed few of your "technological wonders". But thanks for the "gee, isn't the internet great!" that people older than 25 don't need.

Also, no. Google doesn't have the answers to literally almost any question we could ever possibly ask. It in fact doesn't have shit in terms of questions we could ever possibly ask. This is why I'm skeptical that you have any idea what you're talking about if you don't understand that we know very little about the world. Unless, you meant it in an academic sense, in which case...yeah..it'll help you with your history homework.

If you have the money buy a fitbit and the aria wifi scale. You can scan food with your smartphone and look at all your data, macros, weight and bodyfat percentage in one place.
>>
>>36261633
Wait, this thing measure bodyfat?
>>
>>36261633
technology had made it all so easy, I use my fitness pal for food, a jawbone up3 and a withings scale. all the apps talk together so it automatically tracks and can adjust your recommended calories based on your goals, relative activity, weight trends and body fat. it's ridiculous how easy it is now.
>>
>>36261650
some scales measure body fat. I have a withings and it seems accurate so far. I used to use a calipers and measured myself on a journey from 24% body fat down to 13% and back up to 21% the scale has been surprisingly accurate but not 100% is been close enough though that I don't mess with the calipers anymore.
>>
>use app like Progression or FitNotes
>has entire routine built in, or enter your routine once and it's there forever
>can see entire lift history within half a second by scrolling down
>in your pocket already since you listen to music

>use Notebook
>have to write every exercise every day
>have to flip pages to find lift history, usually 2 to 7 pages per entry if you do a lift once per week
>have to carry it around with a pen/pencil the entire workout

b-b-but I'm an ADULT and ADULTS don't use the conveniences of modern technology!
