Stabbed myself pretty deep between thumb and index finger. Took around a week to heal and I removed stitches myself.
I resumed lifting maybe a day or two after removing stiches, felt a bit of pain but other than that no problems.

Stitches are used for deep cuts. Length doesn't matter, it needs to be deep. From the picture alone we can't tell if it's a shallow cut or if it really needed stitches.

I did. He said I wouldn't do any lifting with the stitches in and after that do what ever your hand feels capable of doing but don't over do it because you don't want to open the cut again. Thanks Dr. Vague. He was a medical student too. 3rd year. Been at that hospital a week lol.

Why are you so hostile? If you are waiting till you get them taken out, just ask the doc or nurse that removes them. They'll be able to tell you how well it has healed. Be specific about what you want to do too, don't just say "Hey doc, is it all better now?"
