I started power cleaning the weight for OHP to avoid waiting on the Squat rack. So far I can clean more than I can press. I added power cleans back into my program for this reason.

I do this. I don't assist with the lift (unless needed on the last rep), but you'll thank me for having my hands in position if you drop the bar.

You seem like a newbie still, so i'll throw ya a bone... The spotter is supposed to aid with the lift off (usually) and be ready to help only ever touching the bar if it's either going downwards or if it's a real grind.

Otherwise you can't call it your lift, because it's hard to gauge how much the spotter has helped.

If this hurt your pride then get over yourself and get educated on basic things like spotting.

Lift off, let them guide the bar to where they want it, let go, and just watch them lift. If the rep is a grinder place your hands near the bar but not on it. I don't grab the bar until I see it start going down and even then just pinkies can help them push through and finish out strong.
