>still eating more than 100g of protein everyday

When will you learn?
>>
You don't get it manlet and you never will.
>>
I'm five foot nine; I will never learn.
>>
Only
>>
185 lbs, get about 150g a day. Seems to be working out for me.
>>
>>36042547
similar to me. making gains on my lifting weight without belly increasing
>>
>>36042479

>Half the group consumed a low protein intake, 2.4 g/kg of body weight protein for one group versus 1.2 g/kg of body weight protein for the other.
>To our surprise the amount of muscle lost, even in the low protein group, was negligible and they lost about 3.5 kg of fat. The high protein group was able to gain muscle mass. They gained about two pounds of muscle and lost about 10 pounds of body fat. So, an improved profile of fat loss and muscle gain in the high protein group.

So higher intake was beneficial for DYEL fatties, you can safely assume it's also good for you

Especially when cutting isn't it?
>>
>>36042479

200g masterrace here

how does it feel to never break twink mode OP?
>>
Do you really need tons of tons of protein?

I keep hearing different opinions on the matter. I've heard tons of protein doesn't actually matter, your LBM is based on your hormones, not so much your actual protein intake.
>>
>>36042932
no, bout 100g is plenty, some dyels are just taking more because they think protein is some magic substance like test and think more is better.
>>
DYEL the thread
>>
Studies have gone as low as 0.64g protien per lb without any muscle loss.

So if you want to be 165 pounds and really lean (very solid weight for a Manlet) you're safe eating 105g protein at a max.
>>
>>36042547
I shoot for 120g at 190 lbs.
>>
>>36042632

So 2.4g per kg is ideal?

So if I want to weigh 70kg lean, i should eat 160g protein.

I think excessive protein makes me get pimples though, I notice the higher my protein goes the more pimples I get. Since reducing my intake the pimples have gone down a lot.

Anyone to get lots of protein without the pimples>?
>>
So is there actually anyone who lifts on this board? I thought it's just autists and gays

>>36043115
There is no significant difference. 2g per kg per day seems to be a good idea
>>
>>36043041

Studies says 1.6 - 2.4 g/kg is optimal for cutting. Even the lower figure puts an 80kg individual at 128 g of protein.
>>
>>36043115
>So 2.4g per kg is ideal?
Not him, but optimal based on the above graph maybe; but look a the difference between 1.4g/kg and 2.4g/kg it's not that much.

If you were a pro athlete then yeah eat the 2.4g/kg, but for the average recreational lifter I would just stick to the 1.4g/kg. Plus, you wouldn't have any pimple issues, which might be something to do with igf-1 but i dunno I've never had that problem.
>>
>>36043115
If you're bulking 100g is ok. I would go for 130g.
160g is seems best if you are cutting
>>
>>36042773

Yeah you need less when bulking but I was responding to the 100g upper limit faggotry
>>
>>36043188
Why do you need less protein when bulking? Are your muscles growing less?
>>
>>36043115
I've never heard of anyone getting pimples from eating too much chicken. Lay off the whey.
>>
>>36043237
I actually don't know why exactly. Read here http://bayesianbodybuilding.com/the-myth-of-1glb-optimal-protein-intake-for-bodybuilders/
>>
>>36043276
It's hard bro, eating a pound of chicken a day gets old, and even then I still need more fucking protein.

Shit is retarded. Without whey protein Im totally fucked when it comes to hitting my protein requirements. Its just too much. Doesn't seem worth it from all the effort. Ive been on <100g protein per day and don't look any different to when I was eating ~200g /day.
>>
>>36043115

>pimples from protein

you are some retarded dyel, fucking hell.
maybe try eating something else then dairy faggot.
>>
>>36043314
sounds like your routine is shit. post up
>>
>>36043314
you can also try eggs and milk
they also have a lot of protein, 1 liter of milk is 30g protein
>>
1g / lb lean body mass
OR
1g / kg body weight

One gram per pound of body weight is probably too much. Not that it's bad for you to have that much protein, but you probably aren't getting anything out of it
>>
Don't fall for the low protein meme. I did. I thought I was being so fucking intelligent, making fun of everyone else.

Then slowly over time I kept getting weaker and weaker and smaller.

I was trying to get away with eating <100g per day. Now I am back to eating at least 150g per day. Hopefully I can get back to my old self from a year ago.

>being manlet enough that this is sufficient daily protein intake
>>
>>36043446
I forgot to mention. I am also a manlet.

I use to bench 2 plates for 8+ reps. Now I can't even do it once. My training hasn't changed. Just my diet, mostly my protein intake. I use to have strict diet of getting MINIMUM 150g protein in everyday, most days I'd get 175-200g. Since I've been down eating only 100g< I can't even rep 2 plates once, and my body-weight/bodyfat is the same.
>>
>>36043446
>>36043472
Me again.

Im fucking fixing this shit. My old man is going to the shop tomorrow morning. I left him my bank card and a note telling him to get me...

2kg chicken breasts
1.5kg lean beef mince
1.5kg lean cubed steak
2.5k tuna

Ain't fucking around anymore, going back to my heavy meat consumption.
>>
>>36043483
For realz, the vegan memers and fatties will undershoot protein but 1g/lb is not necessary either

I've made gains on as low as 125-130g a day at 205lbs which is as low as I'd recommend. But I don't count protein sources that aren't meat/dairy so that probably comes out to more like 150-160g
>>
I can't believe people are falling for this thinly veiled vegan thread. Saged.

i really struggle to even get to 150g of protein a day without going over my calories or too much carbs. what do you eat?

getting extra protein in is only important if you're cutting

Vegan shitposting with /pol/ shitposting. What will you faggots think of next?
>>
I don't have any scientific research but have done cuts with around 90-110g protein total and cuts with 120-140g protein total and there's really no difference in how much muscle i lose. I still rather play it safe and go 130-150g than 100g
Oh and i'm 90-100kg depending on bulk/cut

Well I dropped from 160g to 130g a day, if that makes you feel better, OP.
