Also OP, you could try Rich Piana's feeder workouts. I have never done em myself though, and his explanation for it is horseshit, but it seems to work at least for some people.

Ideally the number of repetitions for hypertrophy should be lower than at least 15, people usually say between 6-12. If you are within that range with your pushups, then go ahead. Problem is, at some point your will be able to do more than that and it's hard to progress. Possible progressions are:

Depends on the pushup. If you can manage a progressive overload with them you can, although it might take longer.

Having one day for chest development

5 exercises that blast chest from various angles.

Really focus on getting great form and holding for a couple seconds on each rep

Going heavy on bench for first couple rounds and then move down to get great pump

Inclines from various angles

I don't have a cable machine so I use bands. I have two handles and 3 100lb bands connected to it. I rep out various chest exercises using these. Really helps me pump blood into the chest.

My inner upper chest is still behind a bit but it is slowly catching up

Iv also read if your bf % is to high the chest will look unbalanced.

bench 4x8 (go heavy, each set heavier, to get those muscles really working)

incline dumbbell press - it's tricky, so I'll describe: I take moderate weight, and do 10 reps, increase the weight with same reps until I can't do 10, then I do sets with these dumbbells until I can do only 3-4 reps

dumbbell flys 4x20 (light weight, perfect form)

good diet, and there's no way you can lose with this.

Medium weight, reasonably high rep for bench (I'd also recommend using DB over BB for growth) and lots of flyes with plenty of time under tension for the rest of chest growth.
Of course, you're almost definitely small, a beginner, and natty, so none of this really applies to you until you can at least bench 135 for 5 sets of 5 comfortably.
