This tbqh.

What, you're just gonna stay at the same weight forever?

Not OP, but it puts an over-emphasis on calories instead of macros and nutrition. Sure, you could get bigger if you added fats and carbs to your diet, but good luck if you don't have enough protein.

bulking isn't the same as adding mass really, it's when you gain mass indiscriminately in a large and noticeable amount.

Ah, gotcha. Yeah if you 'dirty bulk' then that's pretty dumb, but adding mass while eating healthy is great.
I fell for this when I was new. Which was good, since I was a very hungry skeleton.
Unfortunately, I went retard the next year and did another bulk thinking it would bring me just as much muscle as the first. I became so fat I nearly considered becoming a meme powerlifter. I even bought a belt and started praising squats, thats how fat I was.
Eat clean and stay lean guys, the dark side of lifting is real.

I have been on the other side of the coin.
Started lifting 5 days a week and fasting for 40 hours on rest days.
Ate 4000k calories a day and still looked hungry skelly.

No it's not. Bulking is eating to gain weight. You can bulk quickly and dirtily, or slowly and cleanly.
