I recently started a desk job and can feel my already poor posture getting worse. Any ways to correct this? I've tried consciously sitting up straighter but it doesn't really seem to work I just look tense.

relaxed state where your upperbody weight leans its weight on something. needs something under it

basically you would look like someone who is lazy by leaning back so much, but you save your spine and posture
>>
Nothing other than getting a monitor at eye level and moving it super close to you. Do back esctensions and progress by holding plates and dbs close to your body

I guess I should add that I don't normally browse /fit/ so I don't really know exercises and things.

You might want to see an optometrist for glasses they help keep your head further from the screen and still allow to see the words. Also take breaks and stretch or lay down though that might be difficult at work

that's not 50 degrees!

standing desk

Is your eyesight fucked up OP? You can maintain posture while working if you can still see what's on the screen without bending over to look.

Take a break from sitting every hour
Use this break to walk around and stretch hamstrings

Need consistent strengthening and stretching
Rear delts, glutes, abs
Thoracic spine, hip flexors, hamstrings

Do your own fucking research

Most people have issues because of sitting, even if they don't realize it

Also should've added that good ergonomics for sitting are 90deg elbows, straight wrists, sitting back at ~110 deg, monitor at ~eye level, knees at 90
