Let's have a tea/general beverages thread. We all know what to eat, but what do you drink to break the monotony of water?
I also wanted to ask some advice. Right now, I drink really strong tea with assloads of caffeine, which can't be good for me. How do you guys brew your tea? I've gotten so used to drinking super strong tea that I don't know what normal tea is like anymore.

Water, black coffee, and green tea. Don't drink the corn syrup jew, bros.
>>

<<<This guy's gonna make it.
>>
>>35634315

you can just use regular sugar.
>>
>>35634315
No organic orange juice or Earl Grey?
>>
I drink mostly black tea (darjeelings and yunnans). I buy them from a small importer. I don't know what their caffeine content is or anything, and frankly I don't care. Tasty af and I love waking up with a strong black (no interracial homo).

I also don't add anything to my tea and feel contempt for anyone who does.
>>
>>35634315
Right on. I stopped drinking sweet stuff (soda + "juice" that's just sugar water with flavoring) and after a few months soda started tasting nasty.
>>
I make my own variation of the bulletproof coffe but I use chai tea and mix it with full fat coconut milk gives me good energy preworkout tastes great
>>
>>35634473
>I stopped drinking sweet stuff
>it started tasking nasty

>stopped drinking

>continued to taste
>>

You too?
>>
>>35634473
Yep, that's exactly my point. I've been off soda for about two years and I feel great. I was working night shift a couple weeks ago and decided I'd drink a Coke for a quick sugar + caffeine pick me up. It tastes so disgusting now bro. I don't know how ever I drank soda on a regular basis.
>>
>>35634498
I meant when I tried it at a party, not that I continued drinking regularly.
>>
>With water
Ground cloves
Stevia
OJ
Essential oils
Coffee

>>
>>35634728
Are essential oils actually any good for you or is it just a meme? Seems like everyone's gf is selling that shit these days.
>just buy the starter kit for $50 and you can get rich quick, anon. Tee hee~
>>
>How do you guys brew your tea?
Depends on the type of tea/tisane. I like this black tea called lapsang souchong. It's very smoky and tastes like bacon. Steep it in hot water for 3-6 minutes, or you could make it into a concentrate then dilute small pours of it with hot water throughout the day.
>>
>>35634922
Are you a slav?
>>
>>35634881
Well, you can burn them or cook with them.

>peppermint
>lavender

Plants have their properties, and this is that.. intensified in to drops.

how bad is a tall glass of milk with 2-3 teaspoons of milo? I doubt its any more sugar than a glass of apple juice
>>
>>35636692
pic related is calories according to cronometer
You're looking at 12.7g of sugar from milk, and 6.9g from milo.
Obviously adjust quantities to how much you're actually eating.

Oh and for comparison the same app says 250g of freshly squeezed apple juice (so no added sugar industrial shit) is 60 kcalories / 14.5g of sugar

Chamomile+brandy here all day erry day.

im gonna say (assuming i were to just drink the milk by itself) adding the 2 teaspoons of milo which is like 3g of sugar and like 40calories
is fine

rice water? that sounds disgusting
>>
Black, green, oolong, herbal tea, you name it but the best drink imo is cocoa. I usualy put two teaspoons of cocoa powder in a mug then pour 100ml of 35% fat cream and fill up the mug with hot water.
>>
Why are you worried about caffeine from tea OP? I find that caffeine from tea is way more gentle than coffee, instead of feeling jittery I just get a good boost.

An energy drink gives me 500% of daily recommendation of b12. Is this why it feels so great, or is it something else in the drink that does this. Caffeine alone doesn't give me the same high.
>>
>>35637067
>that sounds disgusting
Probably because rice often has a bunch of powder nutrients, which gives it that taste and texture. Without those, it would probably be great. Rice, especially with a little milk and butter and honey (breakfast rice), is tight.
>>
>>35637810
>Not a whole oz. of cocoa
Gainz.

>>35639544
Energy drinks have a bunch of stuff.. especially taurine, caffeine, and potentially sugar. There are B complex liquid droppers at Walgreens, but as for that same feeling, my guess would be not.

I usually just mix unsweetened black tea in those large jugs from the grocery store with milk. Sometimes add cloves and cardamom like Yemeni Shai Haleeb, but I don't add sugar.

Might not be the place, but I'll throw it out here. I started drinking green tea for the health properties it gives, but I can't stand to drink it hot/warm. Does it lose any benefits if I refrigerate it first? I can only stand to drink it cold.
>>
>put organic loose leaf green tea into cup
>pour hot water into cup
>place lid over cup, steep 3 mins

Coffee and milk, green tee with peppermint (mash Allah)
>>
Lady Grey, Rooibos, green tea with various fruit infusions, celestial seasoning sleepy time, Twining's mango and strawberry/raspberry and echinea. I fucking love tea brehs. So good. No sugar, either.
>>
>>35640797
lol why Masallah
>>
>>35634949
please tell me you're not drinking lavender & peppermint essential oils...
>>
>>35638363
Because I drink VERY strong tea, like all the time, and at one point even started having chest pain. It went away, but I mean, that CAN'T be good.
>>
>>35640762
Cold doesn't make a difference. I prefer it as well.
>>
>>35640898
I stopped with peppermint after hearing that it lowers t. There are a bunch though.. you can even get coffee essential oil.
>>
>>35640828
tbqh Everything you named seems kind of shitty. If you want non-shit tea you actually have to go for the less popular brands. I for one drink Tsar Tea from Russia, and it's amazing.
>>
>>35640918
Awesome, thanks.

I think making home made chocolate from nothing but cocoa powder would be a better idea
>>
>>35641715
"Cocoa" there is 100% cocoa powder.

You have to mix it with something though. Milk is pretty great, and coconut oil mixes much better still.
>>
>>35641956
Yeah I meant without sugar and shit like that. I found in shop the 90% cocoa chocolate and it still had 12 grams of sugar per 100g,
>>
>>35642097
Unsweetened cocoa from basically any store with groceries is what I get.
>>
>>35640925
>stopped with peppermint after hearing that it lowers t.

yeah thats why i was worried for you brah, lavender is also pretty estrogenic and i actively avoid it.
>>
>>35641260
When you brew loose leaf tea, you brew a very strong mix, and then add boiling water to make tea. I just pour the strong brew, without diluting it.
>>
>>35643748
This, basically. I make clove tea, coffee, et al., and fill the other half of the glass with water or even a little OJ, depending on if I'm taking vitamins.
