Where is this from?
>>
Just outside of shoulder width is best imo

Always lol when I see people that think super wide grip works lats more

Close grip is nice I guess if you're more focused on arms, but you can always just do regular ass curls and hit them harder anyways so kinda pointless imo

works different muscles you dumbfuck
>>
One is a pullup. The other is s chinup. Chinups are easier.
>>
>>35633321
Cycling through the following is the way to go:

- shoulder width pullup
- wide grip pullup
- neutral grip
- chin up
>>
>>35633321
With the close grip I hardly feel my lats, it's basically mostly my arms. With the regular grip I feel my lats more. I do both on pull days.
>>
>>35636425
he said which "chin up" grip position is better, you faggot.

talking about grip width.

everyone knows pull ups are harder, and everyone knows chin ups are better for targeting lats.

the debate is wide grip vs close grip.

and close grip is objectively better as it increases ROM for the lats.

>>35636464
retract your scapula and curve your spine more.

the lats cannot fully contract with out a slight curve to the spine (extension, not flexion)

Doing reverse grip or "chin ups" targets your biceps and is great I guess if you're working back and bi's that day. Wide grip lat pull ups are hella more efficient for lat width. You'd use the same grip as if you were performing a "lat pull down." If you wanna target more of your back just work with a lot of row based exercises and lat exercises lol.

>Collectively, a medium grip may have some minor advantages over small and wide grips; however, athletes and others engaged in resistance training can generally expect similar muscle activation which in turn should result in similar hypertrophy gains with a grip width that is 1-2 times the biacromial distance.

I would agree with this. But I would add whatever is more comfortable for you (as long as it's a pull up)

im not saying i want to go to that extreme, but just wondering how he got that lmuch lat development

>>35636874
yeah im trying to research his workouts now, from what i remember reading about him in the past he was only into bodyweight exercises, no weight training
>>

is muscle confusion a real thing or is this a troll? anyone else?
>>

it's a fucking troll you idiot

Have you ever watched Crossfitters do their thing? I could see that term being used to describe it.

That being said, constantly hopping between different exercises or programs is bad mkay, it doesn't work, choose one and get better at that
>>
>>35633321
Neutral grip
>>
>>35636983
Expect doing different pullups works your shoulder in different positions and strengthens your rotor cuff

How dare you post facts?!
>>
Slow pullups vs fast pullups, which is better?
Say I can do 6 slow (3-5 seconds up, 3-5 seconds down) PUs and 15 fast explosive ones, which exercise was more beneficial?
>>
>>35633321
Why should you limit yourself to only doing just chin ups or pull ups? You can get so much variation with pull ups and chin ups just by changing grip width.
>>
supinated grip because it works out more muscle mass and for me it's the only time i really hit biceps
>>
>>35636945
People don't know what the term implies, and so they think it's a troll.
It basically comes down to adjusting your routine after you've adapted to certain exercises and are having a hard time progressing.

Dunno, but don't explode as fast as to jeopardize your posture and don't use momentum to aid the movement

>>
>>35633321
Superior chinup position is when your chin is above the bar

Also in your pic one guy is doing a chin up the other a pullup
>>
>>35636501
But the picture is chin ups and pull ups, not wide vs close chin ups. He's mentioning how the picture isn't a representation of what's being asked. Calm your shit
>>
why is it that when i do pull-ups my right shoulder hurts afterwards for like 2 days but if i do only chin-ups my shoulder feels fine?
