I must say that i've seen a lot more progress with push ups than bench or dips.
Used to do up 1000 push ups in 6 hours 7 years ago because i had nothing to do on summer, so my chest was, even if it was still dyel level, much bigger than the rest of my body lol

I do not believe your form is perfect. The downward motion alone would have to be done in under 0.25 seconds and I dont believe thats possible just relying on gravity. Then again I havent done the maths.
Perfect form includes full ROM i.e. from complete straight arms to whole body touching the floor
