I have been raising meal worms for a source of protein. It is a pain in the ass but all natural and most importantly CHEAP source of protein.
I either fry them or make them into a powder and add to my shake.
Does anyone else do this?
How much protein in one of them?
fuck off you weird creepy faggot.
No, and neither do you.
Those mealworms came from a bate shop in one of those little plastic tins.
You dumped them out on a piece of cardboard and wrote a timestamp next to it.
I pity you.
Here's your reply.

Is it really cheap though?
How much is the cost of the feeds?
>>35596385
Honestly goat, if I lived alone I would do this. Its basically protein that grows itself

I ate a few grasshoppers once. Cooked and fried them. Tasted pretty okay. They are expensive though unless you have a plague around.
go eat some fucking meat you weird cunt

I've considered it, but honestly the maintenance would be too much for me. I'd love if you went into more detail about your farm.

No, but I tried fried meanworms and grasshoppers at a museum last year and it was pretty good. I wouldn't mind eating that daily.

Ha, didn't even see that. It's early.

Grind it and turn it into hot dogs or chicken nuggets

50 grams of protein per 100 grams of worms

I looked this up, apparently it's true. ( http://www.exoticnutrition.com/limein.html )
What does /fit/ think of these? I'm new to calorie counting but 135 calories per 100g seems like a lot. Is it worth it as a source of protein?
What are the highest protein foods?
