What dryland exercises do you prefer for swimmers (including weights)?
>>
cool thread

Moderate-heavy pull exercises are good for building strength on top of the endurance that's already there, but balance is also very important so I don't see why things such as higher rep bench shouldn't be used

Squat, DL, bench, OHP, pull-ups, dips, rows.

Find an indoor pool, faggot

My coach tells me not to go very heavy. Lighter weights but high reps keeps the muscles streched out

That's right but for the wrong reason.
>Lighter weights but high reps keeps the muscles streched out
Total bullshit.
Swimmers should do endurance biased lifting because it most mimics the way they use their muscles in their sport.

What are your events and what level are you at?

High school sophomore sprinter is going to merit different strategies than a D1 collegiate 1650'er.

Not american, what strategies are you talking about? D1, collegiate, 1650?
