So /fit/ how do you train your triceps?

How stupid would be to use dips to train triceps?
>>
Weighted dips are the best triceps exercise hands down

I use skull crushers but some people on this site disagree with it. Dips are a good exercise to finish with just make sure you use good form. I want to start doing weighted dips but I don't want to look like a fucking sperg at my local gym with chains and shit

thanks, I'll try it out then. I'm afraid of skullcrushers.

What about close grip bench? I used to do that but I didn't feel like it was hitting it all that much.

I use to do lying Tricep extensions (better version of skull crushers) and that worked well.

But I've recently discovered JM press and that works wonders for my Tricep strength so I so that instead.

>skull crushers
Are amazing. Definitely my staple tricep exercise

I don't know, got it off /b/ like 3 years ago

It seems I've run out of gifs. OP out

Question about skullcrushers. It's pretty normal to go considerably lighter on them versus other lifts, right?

pls help no bully
>>
>>35562215
Yeah. You're only using your arms so won't come close to compounds.

Also best to be cautious, esp if you have no spotter/safetys. They're called skullcrushers for a reason.
>>
>>35562272
Thanks, just making sure.

I feel weak as shit sometimes when doing triceps, then again they seem to respond really well to what I've been doing (lower weight, higher reps). Noticed that they've begin to pop a bit since I've been cutting.
>>
>>35561821
>hands down
Duh, you can't do dips any other way, idiot.
>>
>>35561857
I made this mistake of doing JM Press in a public gym once. Holy shit how many people flipped out and started telling me I was doing the bench press wrong. I stopped doing it there just to avoid that conversation every time.
>>
>>35561803
I do dips and incline skull crushers as my only isolations. I might try JM press but I don't think I will do it regularly
>>
>>35561803
You could do a lot worse, but it's not ideal.

There's a part of the triceps that can only be hit when you stretch it with your elbows lifted above your head. If you don't neglect that you won't look like a weird t-rex thing.

>I'm afraid of skullcrushers.
Would you be fine if you called them lying triceps extensions you massive pussy?
>>
How do you guys progress on Dips? What's your rep scheme? I never know when to increase the weight.
>>
>>35562912
Same progression as bench.
