I hope my skin holds up this well. Started my cut just after Christmas, aiming to go down from 175lb to 145lb then lean bulk for life. I was 220lb at 5'7 when I was 16, started exercising and have been between 150 and 175lb for the last 10 years. I'm a type 1 diabetic and I had no insulin for around 8 months when diagnosed because they were still trying to figure shit out with me before prescribing - anyways, this meant I wasn't allowed to eat high carb high sugar shit or my blood glucose would go stupid high, so I used to eat a big chunk of candy, swallow a piece of the chunk in my mouth, and spit out the rest to get over the urge.

Sounds stupid, but it worked for me. My consequences were obviously higher, but it helped.

I didn't care much anymore for sweets or soda anymore when I started. Only guilt food I was eating were burgers, but they were always lettuce wrapped. Just have to watch out for fat, salt, processed meat, if you care for that stuff.

I eat around 3300 for maintenance. Eating enough has never been a problem for me (obviously), I can easily eat 4,000 cals from just "clean" food.

Hopefully I can get down to 120kg for this summer. If I go any lower I'll just lose too much strenght. I'm happy/strongest at 15-20% BF

I'm fully aware of that, but I really don't feel like it right now and I'm busy as fuck. Once I'm <100kg and my life is less stressful I'll definitely start. Although I was playing around with the thought of investing a lot of time in going to the gym and being "that guy" who turned from a fatso to a good looking dude in a year, would be entertaining honestly.

I'm gonna guess here.

Assuming diet and lifting consistently the ENTIRE time, meaning ~1 "cheat day" (eating at maintenance) a month.

Assuming the goal was to lose 2 pounds of fat every week.

Assuming that in the first month weight shed off pretty fast (usually does).

So let's say 15 pounds lost in 4 weeks from 280 to 265. Then losing another 80 pounds at 2 pounds per week for 40 weeks to get down to 185.

From there I would imagine things slowed down a lot. To get that kind of muscle definition takes a lot of time.

So about a year to shed the weight, then another year of lifting.

I'm talking out of my ass here but I don't see why this wouldn't be achievable in 2 years if you never lost sight of your goal.
