Whatever it is, I'm one.

I'm just there to stay healthy and slender. I know this board's culture and in general the fitness community's, though. I don't need to impress anyone, least of all other men. I'm already successful with people.

It's not like being healthy and slender takes much. All I do is long distance running a few times a week and eat well. That's as far as my fitness involvement goes. Would it be optimal to add strength training to my lifestyle if I wanted to focus more on fitness? Yeah, but it's okay - I've got other shit to do.

Have a blast. (I don't know why I felt the need to censor my cellphone.)
>>
>>35456896
... A body pic with shirt on.
How can I estimate how your cardio lifestyle affects you if I can't see anything?
>>
>>35456896

Maybe you can answer this for me. Why, if you are going to spend 3ish hours every week exercising, would you do the thing that keeps you looking like you don't even exercise?

I understand /fit/ is a little extreme on this, but you have to concede a few pounds of muscle would improve your appearance. After all, even ottermodes have substantial muscle compared to the average skinnyfat.
>>
Definitely dudes that never train legs.
>>
cardio jackrabbit?
>>
Guys who dont do cardio
>>
I do both lift and carido. I'm better and do more of the cardio though. Do I count as a cardio bunny?

Uhh, here's the only body pic currently on my phone. I don't exactly take them often. This is from 2 weeks ago - thought I might do a comparison before and after holidays to keep myself in check.

How it affects me? Not sure what the structure of your assessment is going to look like - all I know is my blood work and physical exams always turn up well.

I don't know how I wouldn't be considered healthy and slender. (And relax guys - this is really the only claim I made. I know everyone here has a better physique than I do.)

>>35456920
I just have a "be healthy and let the rest fall into place" approach. I'm not worrying about my appearance really. You're totally right though - it would be worth it to get the extra LBM. I'm just saying there's really nothing wrong with being cardio oriented. I'll never understand the antagonism over it, haha.
>>
>>35457051

Follow up question, do you keep track of your performance and record workouts?

It seems like the biggest mistake "just be healthy" people make is that there isn't a lot of goal setting, which seems to negatively impact training consistency.
>>
>>35457051
I agree with your approach. I also prioritize cardio but have found that it leaves me looking gaunt sometimes. I run a lot more than you though, so maybe I overdo it a bit. The last two months I have complemented my cardio routine with lifting and found that it made a major improvement in functionable strength, balance and appearance. I recommend it. You look a bit skinny, and even a little bit of strenght training would make a positive change in that.
>>
Ottermode
>>
>>35457078
I do. I think you're also referring to the "everything in moderation" people. I'm not that. Every food that goes into me I consider healthy (no junk at all) - but I'll be more lenient with the quantity depending on the week as long as I'm not gaining too much weight. I can burn it off anyway.

As for workouts: yeah. Probably the same as you guys who lift - I'd feel horribly if I left with more in the gas tank. I try to be exhaustive.

>>35457080
Thank you. I'm not averse to it - I know I'll get around to it. I know as well that if we bulk up from a leaner state, the nutrients partition better. Do you have an estimate BF % for me? I'm just curious. I just try to stay below 15.
>>
>>35457153
>Do you have an estimate BF % for me? I'm just curious. I just try to stay below 15.
Well, you've succeeded. I'm not really got at bf estimations but you've achieved skinny mode so I would recon 10-13% maybe?

I've seen dude out on my bike with legs that would put professional bodybuilders to shame I said spandex. Nothing sexier than a fit Guy who knows cardio is good for him and excels at it. Don't be so quick to stereotype and label- you Guys don't like it when people don it to you
>>
>>35457051
They antagonize cardio because it hurts their out of shape cardiovascular system. Cardio is more difficult than lifting and scares them. They think ouch rlthis hurts I don't want to do it. They'll assume lifting is superior because its easier for them and usually takes less time. By claiming its superior they don't have mentally conflicting cognitions of cardio is good for you and I don't do cardio driving them insane. You do look pretty weak though dude, all I do is cardio but I still look stronger

>They antagonize cardio because it hurts their out of shape cardiovascular system.
Fuck it. I'll take the bait. Cardio isn't nearly as difficult as weight lifting. I seriously hope you don't think lifting doesn't hurt at all. Even if cardio is more painful, very few people on /fit/ deny it's good for you. You're a idiot for believing the "cardio kills gains" meme. Get over yourself.

>Cardio isn't nearly as difficult as weight lifting
You are literally retarded. Cardio requires more time and endurance, lifting is so much quicker and easier that it isn't even funny.
>>
>>35458612
>>35458555

How about you lift more than the bar then?
The great thing about lifting is you can take a weight that's easy for you, add 10kg and it's not easy anymore
>>
>>35458727
Pls run fatass
>>
>>35458736

>>
>>35458727
I bet I can lift more than you, and still manage to run sub 3:10 1k
>>
>>35458802
Lifting more than me wouldn't be hard at all, but that's not even the point of my post
>>
>>35458727
It's still fucking easier if your muscles can handle it. You're missing the fucking point.

How long does it take you to do some reps to failure with heavy weight? Like 2 fucking minutes if you aren't taking breaks per muscle group? Then you get to rest. You push yourself, but you don't use shit for endurance.

How long does it take you to do cardio for an hour? AN HOUR. At a speed you have to maintain, which you cannot take a break from.

It is infinitely harder to do cardio simply because of how long you have to maintain it. If you think cardio is easier than lifting, you aren't doing cardio hard enough.
>>
>>35459172
>How long does it take you do something pointlessly inefficient?
You can lift weights for an hour straight too. It's just that more people know that there's not much point in doing so.
>>
>>35459206
>pointlessly inefficient
>Implying cardio when cutting is inefficient

fat powerlifters.
Cardio bunnies focus too much on bodyfat and ignore muscle.

>>35459223
If you're doing cardio for more than 20 minutes, you aren't doing cardio hard enough.
>>
>>35459242

Opinion discarded. Go home you fat NYR.
>>
>>35459274
Sticky doesn't have best information. You don't need as much protein as it says. You can do more efficient cardio routines than couch to 5K or whatever. And so on.
