only after the first time lifting did I feel sore the next day or really pumped up for more than 20 min. I've only been lifting for 3 months so this makes me think I'm doing something wrong. I'm building mass and getting stronger but I never feel like I accomplished anything after working out.

It might be because I have pretty bad kyphosis/internal rotation

Do the 8 to 12 method. Pick a weight where you barely do the 8th rep on last set. Just focus on form and the mind to muscle connection. Eventually you can do more reps. When you reach 12 on last set and it's EASY you up the weight and start at 8 again.

The weight you're doing is too high which burns your bis out faster than it burns your lats. Drop weight, don't wrap thumb around the bar. Pull using your elbows not your forearms.
