James Harrison cleans over 135 with 1 arm
If you cannot clean you body weight, you need to reconsider your workout routine.

I hit that shit my first month. wtf are you going on about OP?

On my first try lol

what are you trying to say? power clean is obviously not a cultfit exercise. they simply bastardized it into "fuckyourselfup cleans" real powercleans require strength, explosiveness and above all, proper technique. They use just about every muscle you have and can be exhausting if done properly and in any quantity.

>tfw i was able to power clean 1pl8 my first time attempting to go heavy on that lift (basically after i felt i had the form down with babby weight)
does this mean i am going to make it?
or is this not unique to recovering fatties?

>i can powerclean 135 easily
I've been working on getting my form perfect and slowly moving up. I'd been stuck for a while around 155.
Finally came to the realization I wasn't getting enough explosion/momentum off the first pull.
My hang cleans are good but my first pull was slacking. Finally got more explosive and the weight flies up.

>and can be exhausting
>5x3 powercleans tire my ass out
I have to take a little bit in between each set and by the end I'm exhausted. One of my favorite lifts.

But you're not meant to be getting your explosion from the first pull. Its just a setup for positioning on the second pull.

Yeah, I understand that, maybe I was wording it weird. I'm not jerking the bar up in the first. It's more of a "how I view it in my head" thing if that makes sense?
I was pretty lackadaisical in my pcs especially the getting it off the floor.
>might sound stupid
Since I try to get fired up in my head and think about exploding straight up.
Seems to have helped me a lot so far.
