Looking to get an exercise bike for myself and would like some input. My budget is $500 max. I know that's not a lot but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Why not just, you know, buy an actual bike?
>>
save up some more and getting a rowing machine instead.

Because I don't feel like dying. People drive like shit where I live. I prefer to exercise in the comfort and safety of my own home.

Not OP but aren't you asking for back problems with those things?

Only if you are a retard

Not OP, but a stationary bike can be used at any time, while a real bike might be annoying to use in rain/snow/tornado/meter shower and is generally a lot more condition-dependent.

Just go out running, okay?

That gets lame in no time, trust me it does.

So does running.

Not in a same way cause you can take a different route, you see different people, different things, nature, weather is different, you are literally getting somewhere and you can eaasily see how far you've come. where as if you just sit there staring at a wall. it's also not that effective. do HIIT/sprints or run uphill and your legs will tone and you'll burn calories like a motherfucker. simply not possible with a stationary bike.

also kinda disg to sweat in your own house, your house will start smelling. and home is for resting, not for working out. you should keep that zone as it is.

obviously you are a fellow ausfag.

these things go dirt cheap at auction. Order the bearings and replace them yourself, brand new bike! Shit people in Canberra give these away for free.
>>
I'm also interested in a stationary bike but not sure if a rowing machine would be better

But the outside has robbers and rapists, you can't go outside everyday forever and expect to keep a tight butthole.
