Dear Mods,

I do some dynamic mobility.

Limber 11, Agile 8, some stuff by Bryce Lewis.

Not really much of an "after lift stretch for your own good" guy though.

Pro-tip:

If you're mad that a /fit/ janitor/mod cleaned up non-fitness threads/comments, then you're a fucking loser that needs to find friends.

Talk about lifting. When you're done, go somewhere else like /soc/ or /rk9/ or /mlp/ and be autistic somewhere else.

Fucking nuggets.

I don't know who any of these people are.

Are all/most powerlifters on a constant bulk? Most people that I know or see who powerlift have that kinda chubby look to them, if you know what I'm talking about. Liek, they aren't similar to body builders, because bodybuilders are going for looks, so there's a constant state of bulking and cutting. But since the goal of Powerlifting is to increase the amount of weight moved, there shouldn't really be any reason to go on a cut, since the goal isn't aesthetic, right? Or am I missing something?

>Captcha: Select all the pizzas
>>
>>35322080
Nah.

My beltless single was 355 at 8.5 RPE, and the volume work was at 250.

That ain't too bad for some schmoe powerlifter, IMO.

>>35322091
>Most people that I know or see who powerlift have that kinda chubby look to them
That's called "being a man".

Seriously, once you're out of your early 20's, you can put on enough muscle to actually thicken up.

Optimal body fat for strength sports is between 12 and 20% (there is a lot of outliers, though).

You eat to recover. The more calories, the harder you can train.

You only cut or recomp to hover in your weight class. It's not like guys literally bulk forever.

However, the calories necessary to fuel a 308 guy training heavy is hard to imagine for a beginner or smaller guy.

No hes not.
Everywhere in the world education level correlates with an on average higher pay. The base level in most tech jobs is higher and a lot of financial proffessions have higher deviations due to some people earning a shit ton.

There is literally no empirical evidence ever to suggest that not going to school is a better idea with regards to future pay
>>
>>35323488
>ignores debt
>ignores lost earning time while getting degree
>ignores higher education exists in areas with higher pay and assumes falsely that higher education is the cause of higher pay
>>
>>35323510
Forgot about the muricans

Here in europe you can actually go to university without racking up tonns of debt.

That third argument makes no sense. I knoe that correlation =/= causation but use your logic here. Most high paying jobs require a good degree. You really think people working at NASA or some hedgefund also happen to have good education and that its just sheer coincidence that these people are in these positions?

I would say so, yes. Then you can work in the fields like the rest of the peasants.

IIRC in some interview he said in competition season he shoots for 6,000+ kcals a day and 400-500g protein. He drops down a lot in the off season though, I was surprised to see him looking (comparatively) skinny.

Life has a lot of ups and downs, hopefully more of the former and less of the later.

But in all likelihood it seems like it has most of the inbetween, the bland vague stretches of time filled with little change, few strong emotions, positive or negative. You adopt a schedule whether that is work, school, lifting or fuck maybe even just bumming around town because you're homeless. A lot of time seems to pass us like this, it's so fucking easy to wake up and wonder where the last year, five years or decades went, isn't it?

Provided that I am doing higher volume deadlifts (4 sets x 5), can I replace barbell rows with pull-ups/chin ups?

That's a mouth breather response. I am doing deadlifts which hits the same muscles as the barbell row.

I am not asking about replacing one exercise with a completely different and unrelated one.
>>
>>35327706
>I am not asking about replacing one exercise with a completely different and unrelated one.
You're asking wether you can replace a horisontal pull with a vertical pull. They're hitting different muscles and do totally different things regarding your shoulder stability etc. Also deadlifts doesn't help with balancing your shoulders from pushing excercises.

Don't remove rows, add pullups on top of them.

Yes but doing bench+incline bench+pullups will result in forward rolled shoulders, while rows train muscles that pull the shoulders the other way.

>>
>>35327937
>>Prior to hyper-specific powerlifting meme-programming, most lifters trained their backs.
That's because americans think that anything that has to do with a barbell is bodybuilding. Look at sheiko and dietmar, they train some of the best lifters in the world(both tested and fake lifters) and they don't think back needs special attention.

>>35327956
>He. And yeah I doubt doing both will have anything but a net positive effect on his training, just really skeptical to all the "ratio this ratio that for shoulder health"
I'm not big on micromanaging ratios for lifts but I think that doing "something" is the best. If that "something" is 3 sets or 20 sets is probably not important. I count deadlifts as "nothing" for shoulder balance since they work the muscles isometrically.
>>
>>35327984
Don't actually disagree with you there, probably better off doing something. Some just take it too far and base their programming on hitting so and so to some micro level, which is retarded. How much assistance helps the main lifts has to take priority
