I find many to most cyclists vastly overestimate their speed. If you're going much over 30 miles in an hour without really trying and without some help from wind or slope, you should try for a wr.
However I know many many other cyclists who have done the whole "ya 25 mph is like super slow I go at like 35 or 40 or something" because their smartphone tells them they went way further than they did and they cut the time it really took down in their heads. So if that's what you've done no worries, nearly everyone does.
