Everything looks good and healthy, but... I couldn't help but notice that there is what seems to be a carcass in your food? Surely that can't be healthy for you :)

PETA Faggot I like my food to suffer thanks
>>
>>35273631
Not him but I always wonder when I see these replies. I just assume edgy as fuck but maybe some anon are serious?

Its pretty fucked up is srs. Not the fact that the animals suffer, that's just the system we've developed to be most effective (but still kind of fucked up) what always bothers me is the idea that some weirdo actually enjoys the fact than an animal lives in squalor and suffering.

>>35273051
Eating one of those Healthy Choice Steamers (Pine Apple Chicken), they're not to bad except for the fact that they have a shit ton of sodium and sugar in them.

I have a question though I work overnights at McDonald's and I've been trying to eat healthier but since working overnights my eating schedule is all fucked up right now, for example I usually only eat maybe once a day and sometimes two a day. Is there any /latenight/ bro's here that can offer some advice?
>>
>>35273674
You seem like a compassionate person. How come you're not a vegan though?
>not the fact that the animals suffer
I didn't care about the ethics either when I was browsing /fit/ 2 years ago, but don't discard the overwhelming evidence that shows eating animals is dangerous for our health. If you don't care for the ethics at least do it for your own health. Honestly I feel 10x better since I went vegan. It just feels natural man..I highly encourage anyone to do a at least the one week vegan challenge at some point in their lives. Also definitely should watch this when you have time for it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5hGQDLprA8

this is the guy who made me vegan hope you watch it.

My first job when I was 15 was slaughtering chickens at my dad's slaughterhouse. Chickens, quail, rabbits, rooster, all the small livestock. I also fish and am looking into getting a hunting license.

I'm exposed to vegetarianism and veganism quite a bit through my gf. I'm not vegan although my meat consumption is pretty low. We get eggs from the farm where she works so she can tell how the hens are treated, and the only meat I'll buy on a regular basis is wild-caught and responsibly sources fish. Once in a while I'll buy some red meat from a local farm that I've researched and that I feel meets my expectations for animal treatment.

Anyway, yes I think I'm compassionate towards animals, but at the end of the day they are still animals. I don't see them as equals, I just take no pleasure in their suffering and I prefer to avoid causing it wherever possible. I really think the healthiest diet is an omnivorous one, and I don't really advocate for veganism but rather decreased meat consumption.

All that being said, if I'm at someone's house I'll eat what they make me. If I'm out with the guys and they go for a burger I'm getting one.

I mean you're definitely a lot more health oriented and more compasionate to animals than most people. I'll give you that, but you should still watch that video when you have time. That particular video really changed my life. Maybe it won't have the same impact on you since you've been working in a slaughterhouse. Also try the one week vegan challenge sometime just to see how your body responds. Some people notice a difference the first week while others it takes a longer time. Can't beat the natural feel that comes with a high carb vegan diet.
>>
My breakfast was 2 cups of oats, 1.5 cups of milk, 20 almonds, and a Nature Valley Granola Bar.

Standard breakfast - gets me ready to lift weights in the gym.

Eating chicken is like using cheat codes, fuck the planet. I broke my fast with like 1,900 calories of spaghetti with alfredo sauce and big ass chicken cutlets. I don't even have to think about protein for the rest of the day. I love lazy dieting.

Right on with the fish. Had me a 12oz salmon fillet for lunch, blackened, with a spinach and kale salad on the side. Could even afford to put some dressing on the salad and stay on my cut diet.

Only been back on the fitness wagon for a little over a week now, but I already feel so much better physically. Dropped a little over 2 pounds just by eating at a deficit and hitting the weights and cardio. After that first week I'm not even hungry anymore in between meals.

Got some other stuff going on in life that's weighing pretty heavy on me, and lifting is proving to be a great way to center myself. I'm gonna make it.
