I feel your pain on the loose skin OP, luckily you probably look fine in a shirt. I would say bulk, start packing some muscle onto that chest, even if you lose more weight it's just going to make your body look wonkier. Eat big, get big, don't be afraid if some of the fat comes back, as long as you lift frequently and hard you will just be builtfat then you can cut down later. You need to fill in that looseness

Should've lifted on the way down as you've successfully cut down to skinny fat, it would've made your body composition drastically better. You need to go to maintenance calories and start lifting hard or like a +300 slow bulk, because you are still carrying excess fat.

I my self have just lost 22 kilos in about 4 months and I'm currently eating just below maintenance.
for you I'd recommend working out hard 5+ days a week and eat around 2800 calories a day.
it must be a nightmare with all that loose skin, I was lucky and didn't get any.
don't let these idiots you lost the weight too fast that's why you have loose skin, thats just bullshit. it's genetics and there is nothing you can do about it.

I'm 205 down from 295, started on Jan 1st 2014. I have some loose skin but not massive amounts.

My plan is to break sub 200, then think about my next goals.. never even thought i could manage to shift 50lb and keep it off, nevermind 90lbs as i have tried before and failed.

I just got angry with how much of a disgusting fat slob i am, and still am. Trying to do something about it.

Not sure if i should get to 185lb and then start lifting frequently, or if i should start a serious ruotine once i hit about 195lb

I'm kind of old though and its showing and im feeling it.. (30yo)

Thinking about taking up boxing though. mainly for self defence and fitness reasons, seems pointless till i can get my cardio upto snuff though and am able to jog a few miles or skip on the spot for like 10 minutes.

Not OP but I went from 300 to 150 before I discovered lifting. Didn't know better at the time but lifting has helped the loose skin a lot.

I'm hoping because i have odd proportions, wide as fuck shoulders and very short legs despite being 6.0ft once i can bulk up a bit ill probably look sick as fuck. Those small wrists make my forearms look massive without even really ever touching weights, cant imagine how they would look if i could add an inch or two on them.

Perhaps i should start lifting now then at 205, its just 199lb is a big milestole in my head, at 195lb im down 100lb.

That will be a big day psychologically for me.

I just dont feel mobile enough or fit enough to start lifting proper, really feel like i could do with dropping another 30lb or so then im seriously considering doing some running and taking up boxing.

Fact of the matter is, some types of exercise are fucking hard as fuck on your joints when you are like 300lbs.

Running when you weigh 300lbs at 5.10ft or something is probably not a great idea.

We're talking about lifting weights. That's a low-to-no-impact activity. The entire point of lifting weights is that it consists of a bunch of movements that you can add extra weight to. Extra weight won't make it more dangerous to perform an exercise whose goal is to add extra weight.

Not sure what i did wrong, i started out slow, got upto like 50lb squats and shit, 120b deadlifts, few dozen pushups a day started getting injuries, form check'd and everything, seemed ok.

I put it down to being a 285lb fatass squating 50lb, deadlifting >100lb and doing pushups when ive been unfit as fuck my whole life and my joints are shit.

Thought it was best losing another 50lb before i tried again thinking, well fuck i was carrying that 50lb around anyway, if i can squat 50lb at 280lb, i should be able to squat 130lb at 200lb without issue and work up from that, prob best to stick to whats working, which was cutting and worry about lifting when im not actually fucking hurting myself lifting babby weights.

Should i start lifting again now at 205lb.. or should i stick with my plan to get down to 185lb and start jogging on off days and lifting every other day whilst upping my calories slightly and increasing my protein?

Is losing another 20lb really going to matter that much in the grand scheme of things now? Or is starting sooner the best option?

I have weight at home, can start in like 2 weeks when i have cleared some space in the garage and set them up.

Have enough free time to lift at least an hour 5 days a week, and probably enough time to add 30 mins cardio to that too.

As i said, i still just dont feel ready to start yet, 205lb still feels wrong to me. I feel like im still 20lb out of my comfort zone to approach this like i have the weight loss over these few years.

I want to stick this out, not get injured and get frustrated.
