What's the best exercise for building sexy chest muscle mass?

Flat barbell?
Incline barbell?
Flat dumbbell?
Incline dumbbell?

something else?
>>
>>35213295
If you have to choose one, flat dumbbell press. Personally I'd go for heavy bb bench and finish it off with some lighter cable crossovers to get the pump and focus on the muscle.
>>
>>35213295
bump for interest
>>
There's no "best" exercise. Just stop being a fucking faggot and lift heavy as weights however you wan till you fail.
>>
>>35213295
all of them, why would you do only one?
>>
>>35213438
because it's pointless and counterproductive
>>
>>35213295
heavy flys made a huge difference for me
>>
>>35213439
>it's pointless and counterproductive
does thy not knoweth that volume builds thy muscle?
>>
>>35213450
I do, but compulsively doing all of the possible exercises is silly. One main heavy lift with sufficient volume and then some lighter move to stimulate the muscle throughout the whole rom and for dat dere metabolic damage. Repeat that 2-3 times a week with varying intensity on your main lift and you are golden.
>>
>>35213439
no , you switch them up every couple of week to train you weak points.
>>
>>35213295
chest exercises are best for building chest muscle mass
>>
>>35213466
thats what i meant you can change the exercises every couple of weeks. like doing incline bench presss for a couple of weeks and after that couple of weeks of incline DB press
>>
>>35213474
Pointless imo. You will get much better results if you stick to a single thing for months and actually get good at it. Especially if you are a novice/intermediate and you pretty much lack mass all over.
And incline is a meme. More of a shoulder than pec move, only somewhat better when using dumbbells.
>>
>>35213295
Heavy pressing compound and then some sort of fly.
>>
>>35213494
>there are people on fit who actually believe any this shit

Why do I even hang out here...
>>
I do DB bench, DB incline and DB flys

DBs are perfect for chest imo
>>
>>35213560
muscle confusion, amirite?
>>
>>35213578
Confusion is worthless if you don't drink

>isopure

Protein during your metabolic window
>>
>>35213587
Thanks bruv, didn't know that. Probably why my training regime with switching exercises every week didn't work as I expected.
>>
>>35213619
Make sure you do splits, full body is a meme. You totally don't have to be on steroids for splits. Srs
>>
>>35213632
That's what I've been doing m8. 10 exercises big body parts, 5 small ones.
>>
>>35213637
5 exercises for your penis? I thought one was enough
>>
>>35213673
>implying I don't do 10 for penis
>>
>>35213678
You literally just said you do 5
>>
>>35213701
For small ones. Reading comprehension much?
>>
>>35213587
>forgetting about activated almonds

shigglediggledingdong
>>
>>35213632
upper/lower split is optimal for natty lifters
>>

>not letting your muscles recover for a week

gtfo roider
>>
>>35213816
Well, that's actually what roiders do
who do you think invented Brosplits?
>>
>>35213838
Idk, pre-roid bbers?
>>
>>35213444
>heavy flys
enjoy your torn shoulder
>>
>>35213973
work up to them lad, don't just dive in heavy. been doing them for years and my shoulders seem fine t b h
>>
>>35213994
They are not heavy or you are not doing proper flys then
>>
>>35213587

Plz don't tell me isopute is a meme. It's the only brotien that doesn't make me want to die.
>>
>>35214072
Have you tried eating instead of drinking powdered and water diluted food you don't actually like?
>>
Bench press, OHP and flys.
>>
>>35213295
>sexy chest muscle mass

>chest muscle mass
>sexy
>>
>>35214045
i don't think hes talking about 40kg db's as heavy
>>
>>35214045
ok lad it sounds like you know what i do in the gym better than me so let's both agree you're right
>>
>>35214115
You're finally willing to be reasonable.
>>
>>35213973
>>35214045
This is why I hate /fit/
>>
>>35213466
Look at this kek trying to be insightful. Everyone's different and your body will react differently than someone elses. Don't listen to these wannabe physical trainers. Just do what works for you. Try experimenting. Nothing will happen over a couple weeks but over a couple months you'll see what works and what doesn't work.
>been lifting 6 years
>never listened to the bro science of /fit/
>made gains
>still making gains
People forget that other's bodies react differently to everything. Don't preach about something you've only done for 2 years.
>>
>>35214163
Yeah right? When I tell people on /fit/ that I do lateral delt raises with 50kg dumbbells they always tell me my form is wack or I am hurting my shoulders.
Like back off?! It's my life and my workout, you can't judge me!!
>>
>>35214188
Don't you know that everyone on /fit/ is a physical trainer and they know the best for you?
>>
>>35213494

The soreness in my upper chest after a nice high-rep incline sesh disagrees, and so do tons of weightlifters with great pec development.
>>
>>35214203
Lol no they always come with shitty advice.
For example: I squat and deadlift in high heels(no homo) and /fit/ keep telling me it's dangerous and shit like that. And I am like, who the fuck are you to judge?!?!
>>
>>35213494
And the poster with a lacking upper chest just revealed themself.
>good luck hitting that plateau
>>
psssst.. weighted dips
>>
>>35214236
If it works for you keep doing it anon. Just because they can't do it or find it hard them they automatically assume its bad for you. Keep lifting in those heels and making those gains! Personally I wouldn't try it because I've always DL or squatted with flat heels or no shoes.
>>
>>35214176
this is a sensible post. basically don't listen to /fit/

Alright then. These are the high heels I use and they get my calves worked out like hell
>>
>>35214282
Yes. Read online and educated yourself. Just don't use /fit/ for educational purposes.
>>
>>35214210
Not saying the other sempai is right, but DOMS are not an indication of muscle development.
Haven't had DOMS since August, chest still grows.
>>
>>35214282
HOW DO I KNOW YOU ARE NOT JUST TROLLING ME INTO DISREGARDING GOOD ADVICE
SORRY FOR CAPS LOL
>>
>>35214286
I'm 100% positive this is bait. Funny bait, but bait non the less.
>>
>>35214303
Educated yourself into knowing what is good advice and bad advice and you'll never worry about that. That's just my advice though.
>>
Bench press 3x5
Incline db bench press 3x8
Dips 3xF

Enjoy
>>
>>35214341
Sounds like we have a beginner joining us in this thread
>>
>>35214327
I know what you did there.
>>
>>35214327
you wont need the advice if you're already educated in that area

>take a class before you read a book so you know if the book is correct
then why the fuck would I need to read the book after taking the class
>>
>>35214357
Thank you.
>>
>>35214341
Thank you for the advice. I have another question for you. Rippetoe says in his book that we must all drink one gallon of milk every day, but I've been doing it for weeks now and my shit is liquid and I actually lost weight.
Since you seem to know a lot, can you tell me wtf is going on??
>>
>>35214361
Just read a book to know what class to take to choose the book. How hard can it be. DO you have austismo?
>>
>>35214361
>assuming a book is wrong
>assuming a class is right
You just keep on assuming dyel
>>
>>35214370
Mmmm some good ol' bait
>>
Dips as my primary chest exercise krew

>>35214382
>not understanding the implications behind the analogy
>taking everything so literally
sounds like im not the only one with autism
>>
>>35214399
Your outer chest must be insane
>>
>>35214412
I am a middle and inner chest specialist
>>
>>35214301
I know they say soreness doesn't indicate muscle development, but I think it's safe to assume that if you make a muscle sore, you have used that muscle. After months of flat bench only, I started throwing incline into my routine, and immediately felt the difference.
>>
>>35214430
Do you have man cleavage?
>>
as a former fat fuck who got cut, flat/incline dumbbell press has served me well, no gyno either

also dips (for triceps, but also hits chest)
>>
>>35214430
Haven't noticed any difference since switching from flat bench months ago, except better chest pump and I enjoy dips more. I think all the 'inner' 'outer' 'upper' 'lower' pecs stuff is broscience, I'm not a doctor or shit though
>>
>>35214254
This tbH. But really, anything where you feel a good stretch and contraction and can regularly add weight.

Working your "bicep peak" is broscience. Pectoralis major and pectoralis minor is real science. And different movements will engage these muscles differently.

That's not to say you need to do 15 chest exercises to look like Zyzz, but I do think flat bench and incline bench can work together to build strength and size better than only one lift by itself.

In general I think getting an aesthetic chest is a matter of good genetics and building the muscle to your own natty limit. It seems like the lower part of the muscle grows before you start to see the upper/inner parts fill out.

But i'm not a doctor either.
>>
>>35214412
>>35214430
All these memes right next to each other
>>
>>35214567
trust me, you don't want to develop your pec minor
>>
>>35214567
>no pectoralis inneris
bullshit broscience diagram t b h faM
>>
>>35214596
aka the pec tendinitis muscle
>>
>>35214596
Why not? Based on my 5 minute PhD from Wikipedia and Youtube, development would push pec major out more. It also looks essential to rowing movements.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PV1LF9-6epQ
>>
>>35214619
Easy to get it tight and pull shouders forward. It might push pmajor up a bit, but I don't think there is a lot of potential for development here, because it doesn't really move much, and is pretty small by itself. Don't know about the rowing part, but seems very unlikely considering where and how it attaches.

>>
>>35214619
Basically if you're doing something that is primarily hitting the pec minor over the pec major, you're doing it wrong and it's going to start hurting soon.
>>
>>35213295
IMO flat bench because you can overload it more

and as accesories db flat bench and db flyes because they focus more on chest and less on shoulder strenght
