Lifting is a good habit. You will not see much weight progression on a deficit, but you will learn good form & routines and set the routine. I've gone from 220-150 myself with a few false starts and stops... all because I didn't back up my progress with a permanent lifestyle change. If you don't end up with a hobby you love, you'll just gain it back.

reduce your body fat. Get rid of it entirely then think about bulking and bear mode when you are down to 12%-15% body fat or so.

You will feel better, you wont look like an autistic nerd with man boobs and beer belly in a gym.

Also bulking and making transition into lifting heavier will be easier because you are simply more fit.

Sugar and fat exist in nature, however, sugar AND fat on the same food was extremely rare for our ancestors, so our body developed a need for them, one where we must consume it to get all that energy. I think losing fat is much more difficult because you have to beat the eating instinct.
I started a diet in the middle of september and have lost 6kg since then. I used ephedrine last week but dropped out because of sides.
It is really hard to control myself on the carbs and I have to be very disciplined about cardio and working out
