I was reading through This Is Thin Privilege the other day out of curiosity, most of it was just kinda sad and I felt sorry for them, but the constant mentions of eating disorders was enraging. Every page there was a post about fat anorexic people, and how it's "horrible" no one takes them seriously. I don't know why fat people do this, by definition you can't have anorexia nervosa and be overweight. You literally cannot fit the diagnostic criteria for it unless you're underweight. I was laying in bed one night and I heard him eating some of those yogurt tubes in his bed. Even though he was making a lot of slurping noises, I blocked it out and was able to fall asleep. I often imagine these sorts of scenarios. IMO they'll from little networks with all their progressive friends and try to start peaceful communities while ostracizing those they don't agree with.
It won't last long, as the crime rate soars a number of them will nut up and learn to actually fight, leading to leadership schisms and eventual disintegration of whatever community they make. Around 70% of them will eventually end up being relatively well adjusted once life kicks them in the balls hard enough I think.
To be perfectly honest a lot of them will also probably kill themselves as well, as they're often the types that are on all sorts of meds. Plus a lot of them are diabetic, so they're fucked as well.

Well, the Marxist Leninist brand of communism considers dictatorship to be good, so you can't say they fail when they get one every time. And for the ethnic cleanisng and all that, in the country where it happens, it also happens on the capitalist sides (look at the history of south-east Asia ; the Khmer Rouge were not the only bad guys). The reason that alternative energy has been slow to catch on has nothing to do with government and everything to do with expense. If clean energy had been cheaper than other sources fifty years ago then literally everyone would have been trying to get their hands on it then and their. The slow rollout of the tech itself is more due to apathy than anything. It's completley apolitical as far as I'm concerned and a completely separate issue from emissions.
