How long should you train for one of these for someone whos semi regularly active and not overweight

I know people who did this with absolutely no fitness in their life.

Yeah but I would at least like to be decent... I'm going with a bunch of fit dudes in like 6 months

YOu don't need to train for shit

>everyone runs in the beginning
>starts walking not even a mile in
>everyone helps each other on obstacles
>damn food and water every half mile

it's a glorified walk

Are you looking to take a cool new facebook profile picture anon?
>if so you should go with girls

HIIT is good. Circuits are good. Running is good. Rowing is good. Calisthenics is good.
>>
How about Spartan Race or Ninja Warrior?
>>
Spartan race ups the difficulty substantially. My opinion is to do a Warrior dash or other similar small scallops race first. Then a tough mudder. Spartan Races are seriously fatiguing and I say 4-6 months training is optimal if you didn't have a base to start with.

So much this. Tough Mudder is fucking easy. It's meant to be. It's a fucking money making scam. People do it Just so they can post pictures on social media that they've done it. Its purely a vanity thing. Go do it if you want though.

I did Spartan Super just last week. It was disgustingly easy, felt like a complete money grab. Utterly replete with crossfitters and unnecessary compression gear as well.

Total Warrior is the hardest one I've done. Absolute nightmare.

Depends if you want to chase a respectable time. If yes, probably about 4-5 months training. If not, just do the fucking thing at your own pace. Some people make a day out of it.
