When I squat heavy I feel all the weight go over my right leg, and normally my right knee joint hurts afterwards.

How do I make sure I am spreading the load over both legs evenly?

PS: i may or may not have slight scoliosis (i selfdiagnosed), would that cause this?

I have 3x15 lat pulldowns and 3x15 cable rows on fridays and 5x8 barbell rows on wednesdays in addition to some sort of deadlift 5 days a week. Do you think that's good enough?

Does it matter if I cut with a sudden drop in calories (like the typical "just drop 500 for a while") as opposed to dropping them gradually (say, 50 calories per week or something small like that)?
I know my cut is going to be somewhat long-term, since I have quite a lot of fat to lose (probably around 30lbs total).

So right now you're just starting the lift too fast, you need to take the slack out of the bar (if you don't know what I mean by that just enter "take the slack out of the bar" into youtube and you'll find vids explaining what I mean)

your back seems fine, but your hips might be too high and your shoulders seem to forward over the bar. Your hips and shoulders need to move at the same time (ideally)

otherwise 6/10 not bad form but you need to fix those problems before 3plate and beyond friend.

A training Diary by Captain Poutine

5+ Bench day lads, ground out a sixth rep. Reps were a little touch and go, but I've been worrying about my pause less on My fives and threes, while really focusing on pauses for ones. So it's not uncommon for me to get 6/7 reps on my 5+, 4/5 on my 3+ and then just one on my 1+. I've become happy with this system. The heavy bench didn't aggravate my injury at all, but the magical gym PVC pipe roller worked its magic during my warmup.

What was worrysome is that I couldn't do my 5x10 Pendlay rows even at 135 lbs. Hurt way too much. Ended up using this weird chest supported row machine we have in the machine section of the gym. I don't like it there, but it worked. Also forced me to be super strict. May end up using it from now on. Kinda fun.

Officially began rehab work by doing one set of 25 deads with no weight on the bar, which felt amazing. Glad the injury is ready to rehab. Tomorrow, after squats, I'll try with 95 lbs.

So i went to the gym today and did some shoulder dislocates. They felt super uncomfortable, even with my hands super wide. I was barely able to do them, but I did. Hopefully they'll start to help my shoulder mobility.

Also, how much does smoking affect gains? I don't do it regularly, but it's finals week and my stress levels are through the roof.

That would be tricky, there is one basic template out on styrkeloft.no, but it's in norwegian and somewhat outdated.

The general principle is very high frequency of all lifts a crapload of times a week(deadlift variantions 4-5-6-7 times a week alone), but low intensity(65-75%)

The people who are trained by him all receive custom programs and are forbidden from sharing them with anyone, as Norway kicks ass internationally and they naturally want to hold on to any advantage they have.

But allright; Train upwards of 5-6-7 times a week(the most i've seen is 11 sessions a week ) Where you do variations of squats, benching and deadlifts, plus assistance work and mobility at low intensity ( 60-75%) more or less every session.

You never really go heavy until you start going closer to the meet, you just kill yourself with total volume and high frequency for months and then you ride supercompensation into the sunset of gainz.

each day you are at least hitting 75-80%. Then doing it again with bench in the middle. Bench and Deadlift rotate on the Middle (weds) day on this scheme. Squat and Bench do as well sometimes.
you will do good mornings, chest flies and lunges.
Very do-able if you eat a lot, sleep a lot, and have enough time to dedicate to it. Each day would take me nearly 3 hours with rolling stretching and shit that is a must to do around it if you dont want to die

Right now it's just a snails pace wave progression to tide me over until I finish this cutting nonsense. Nothing this training cycle has been in the failure range, save for repping out on pull ups, OHP, and that RDL set. Next microcycle only goes as high up as 91% and after that I should be at least eating at maintenance kcal intake again. Plus this is the longest I've gone without changing programs or massively overhauling the current program in a LONG time.

yeah I think the tough part for most people is lockout, and floor press makes you do the lockout from a dead stop. So yeah, I think that is a little weird. But different people have different strengths so it's certainly not unthinkable
