am i not doing enough? i want the boulbous look. they look big when i flex my biceps but just resting they dont have a lot of thickness to them.

i think lots of people wonder why x won't grow/get bigger and they look at their routine like there's something wrong but it's most likely that you haven't been training long enough. you're probably not going to see too drastic of a change with anything less than a year of training. most likely you'll need several years.
