I started with 5 pullups, i weighted a bit less than 200lbs. So you'll get there my fellow fitizens, pull ups are just you and the bar, it won't crush you, it won't snap your back.

I was up to 20 at some point, in less than a year. now doing close grip sets of 15, and then sets of 8 with a 25lbs

You'll make it brah, I was around 120lbs mid last year due to some health issues, and it takes time, but you'll make it back up, just really focus on your diet and don't bulk too quickly, keep to 1lb a week.

Go to an actual gym, too, it's important you work out properly with a good diet, otherwise the diet is pointless.

Dead serious, just do pullups every single day and in a month you'll be near or at 20. at least 15. Pull ups accrue pretty fast if you stick to it.

Till failure, do as many sets as you can/feel like you need

no kipping, chin above the bar, fully extend your arms at the bottom

Half reps are of course not counted, but we are allowed to do curl ups too, and can even switch grips in the middle of our session for the test while hanging if we want.

We could also go super wide on the pullups if we wanted so that we didnt have to travel as far, but of course thats somewhat difficult and only manelts did that technique.

Before I could do weighted pullups I would do let's say
3-3-3-3-3 on my pull days so twice a week then the next week id do 4-3-3-3-3
Then 4-4-3-3-3-3 then 4-4-4-3-3 and so on plus I'd throw in a few sets every day the more you do them the better you get.

But idk I'm 6'4 and my Slav back always been strong as hell all my pulling movements are. But the more you do then the better you get
